itt eric hates on me for telling him what UTs basketball players said.

i also told him something that turned out to be right that exact same day but he forgot that i suppose.

he will not have to worry about it anymore though.

Dude, the Selby thing really hurt my sectional e-cred at the game. The Maclain thing was a surprise for some, but he's been in love with Brooks for a long time.

It's cool if you won't share with me though.

We are in for a beat down this fall. Drink all the Kool Aid you want. A 5 win season awaits again. We'll be better in a few years. Maybe three if Dooley can coach. BTW I like Dooley so far.

I keep hearing clones saying the Vols are going to be bad next year...five wins or less...yeah, right... they might just have the best defense in the SEC...they will surely put some points on the board with their receivers and running game...the OL will jell enough to keep the pressure off the QB...we already have the best TEs in the league...the only teams that are probable losses this year are Florida, LSU and maybe Alabama...

I think we beat Oregon with Wilcox knowing how to stop their offense...Florida will be a toss up...again the defense will be the determining factor...UGA is not a definite loss and LSU we know we can beat them in death valley we have done it...USC I never would think we should lose to them and the rest of the games are all wins.

So stay tuned for a better seaon than most of you think...remember Wilcox took BSU to the promised land and he didn't have anywhere near the talent he has at Tennessee. Dooley and Chaney will whip the offense into shape to play to its level...Palardy will win a couple of games for the Vols...look for the team to play like an NFL team...defensive battles and close games much like last year's Alabama game...

With UTs recent history, wouldnt a top recruit take a wait and see approach, even if he wanted to come? Glad it goes to Feb.

I personally vote that LV, Sab, & g8h8 share as much as possible. I'm way more out of the loop than you dudes. I'm 900 miles from anyone in the athletic dept! Share away.

I get what your saying but that list doesn't give me any sense of validation though, something a little more concrete would be nice.

Like he just said though, it's 10 months before pens start hitting paper, that's when you get something concrete, until then, it's all just speculatory, and needs to be taken lightly.

Even if we had ten 5 star recruits committed right now, that doesn't mean that they won't see a game played somewhere else in the fall and commit there.

TAKE A CHILL PILL.

People need to stop worrying....the staff knows what they're doing...it ain't their first rodeo....now if come January we are still lacking then be concerned, until then, take a breath and relax

It will really be a meltdown if Posey doesn't select the Vols one week from today...

I don't think that will happen but I will be brasing for a Volnation crash if it happens.

Someone visited Columbia Central yesterday. They were there to talk to Goff and another kid. Its the first interest they've shown in Goff since feb.

I suddenly realize the true brilliance of Kiffys plan last year. He claims he ran his mouth to draw attention to UT but it was really to distract our wacked out fanbase.

Dooley should get a grad assistant to leak idiotic comments to the press so that we can have something to discuss on this board.

I don't see anyone worrying or panicing. I just see a few VOL fans voicing opinions and having conversations..???????????:ermm:

stars really are not a big deal... I just posted on another thread that an article out today identified Sam Bradford was unranked coming into college.

Yes,, a high three who was drafted number one... many on here feel if the player is not a 4 or 5 it is not really a rate.. So Sam was not anywhere near the top 250.

your point is taken, however there are far fewer 4-5 stars than 3 stars. Naturally there are fewer 4and5 star success stories.

Manning was a 5 star so was Ryan Leaf, so there u go. both wee Hiesman contenders as well as Torretta of Miami and Leinart and Sanchez and T. Pryor and J. Russell and V. Young and T.Tebow and I can go on and on. and the percentages are in the favar of the 4-5 star players to be more impactful due to their smaller numbers... JMO

Been reading alot of recruiting sites and team sites this week in my spare time. Comparing whats going on at rival SEC schools right now in recruiting, it is FAIR to say thet the VOLS are behind, by quiet alot.

Before you bash, take the time needed to research the subject. Look on a few of our rival sites and read a bit. You will be able to reach no other conclusion. I am not saying we won't have a great class. I am saying we are quite a bit behind... GBO...

Would you care to share some of your findings? I'm not saying you're lying, I'm just not familiar with what sites are legit for other teams, so I don't know exactly where to look.

Well, look on the N.Dame site. They have verbal commits from 4 Four Star prospects and 1 Three Star prospect in the last 10 days per scouts rankings..

Florida has 3 Four star prospects verbally committed.

Auburns has 5 VerbalCommits----UGA has 6 Verbal commits with 4 Four Stars-----LSU has 10 Verbal commits with 3 Five Stars and 3 Four Stars----FSU has 11----Clemson has 7----Ohio State has 10----Texas has 21----

Believe me I can go on. Look at Scout.com and go to each teams site. It is pretty impressive what going on at other big time programs... GBO

Of course those schools have more commits than UT. They didn't hire a new HFC just a few months ago. You think highly rated kids line up to commit to a school and coaching staff before they establish a relationship with their would be coaches? You apparently don't know much about recruiting and should refrain from posting on said topic imo.
