Easy Francis. DR's exit leaves a big hole in the offense a scant few days before a big game - of course people are going to want to vent. Odd that you would take it so personally.

I live in Cookeville and if he thinks he can get away with some of his **** here, he better think twice.

The cops and TN Tech University wont hesitate to can him if he starts acting a fool here.

Just saying...

DR is NOT bigger than the University of TN and I am glad his punk ass is gone. He is a great talent and may make it in the league IF he can grow up and realize what it takes to be successful in the long run. He has been such a distraction pretty much his entire time at UT; we need a Team, not a bunch of ME-FIRST players. I wish we could just let him go and quit talking about him. He's gone; lets move on.

What everybody should remember is that he could have gone to any school, but he took a chance and came here. His commitment provided some much needed publicity and his presence over the last couple of years has probably helped to attract a couple of recruits who may not have come otherwise.

Of course that came with some baggage and in the end it didn't work out. We all wish it would have ended differently, but it is what it is. I hope that he does well. I have no desire to bash him or wish him anything but the best of luck. He is a great player and I will look forward to seeing him at the next level.

I just know how the cops are around here. I work with kids from this campus on a daily basis, and know how the cops crack down on them. It seems as though sometimes they're targets.

I really dont care where Da'Rick plays, I'm just staing my observation about CPD and Putnam Co cops.

Would have to both agree and disagree with you...

I agree completely that DR won't be able to skate on ANYTHING in Cookeville and that he really better keep his head on straight off the field. Tech doesn't have a storied football program that is an integral part of the community like UT and Knoxville and he shouldn't expect to be treated any differently than any other student if he runs afoul of the CPD...

I completely disagree about Tech students being targeted unfairly, however...I graduated from Tech, and I run into several CPD guys everyday while on the job. I know a lot of them, and I hear their stories and their pet peeves...and Tech students don't come anywhere near the top of the list of things that piss them off...

As a whole, the CPD doesn't play favorites with anyone. They rarely cut anyone any slack, but they don't single people out either...unless they're just idiots who can't stay out of trouble, Tech students or not.
