New sports radio station in Nashville will carry all Alabama games

Yeah it's funny to me that Bray is questioned and people say he hasn't proven anything, but Wilson has been annointed the best QB in the west and top 2 in the conference when he is more unproven than Bray by a lot.

It would be easy to agree about wishing JJ was out there at QB for them because he is not exactly the biggest threat of the season, and I was about to put that, but think of it this way as well.......without him and just Lee in at QB, you only have to prepare for one guy versus two like last year.

Odds are one of two things would happen with both available: Either, Jordan Jefferson does better than most think and is still starter by the time they play us or they are rotating Lee and Jefferson like last year which can keep the 'D' from getting in a good rhythmn to stop'em.

So I am for just one guy to prepare for.

Side Note: With all of the hype of Mettenberger and he great he is....I am sure he is decent but if he is like the hype people have around him (he ended up in the high 90's on NCAA 12 for cryin' out loud) why didn't he beat out Aaron Murray, Jordan Jefferson, or Jarret Lee?

Our fans really do believe that every single team in the nation (except for Bama) is overrated.

Living down here in Augusta, GA I get way more SC Gamecock talk and news than I care for, but I find it rather funny that there are a decent number of them talking about a 1 loss or undefeated season.

I know Alshon Jeffery and Lattimore are very solid football players, but I also recall them getting absolutely blasted by Auburn in the SEC title game and losing to Kentucky when their key to success, Lattimore, went down in the first half.

Anyone else find it amazing how one good season while everyone else was down makes a fanbase that supports a team with the history of the gamecocks become so....well, so much like UGA fans really? (UGA fans, who act like they are a dynasty and annual threat to win it all but haven't won a national title since 1980)

Same way SC is hyped to win 10-12 games....

They saw Tyler Wilson come in for Mallett briefly and do good so naturally they already proclaim him better than Mallett.......like when Tebow left they said Brantley was actually a better QB and they would have a great season (Hahahaha.....)

My Darren McFarland story. A few years ago when he was on with Plas and Willie they had Rogers Redding, Director of Football Officials for the SEC and crooked corrupt Bama homer on to discuss some bad calls. It was around the time that Bama had not had a holding call in the last 7 games of the season. Plas and Willie do their usual stupid questions but then it comes to McFarland and he asks Redding what the office was going to do about all the officials who get injured on the field during plays. Redding says they didn't have any officials who injured on the field during plays this year...followed by crickets...then McFarland saying something like "you didn't?" Then more crickets....then that was it. Interview was over.

He makes Heather Harrington look competent.

Gamecock fans do it every year dude. I live in spartanburg. If they went 0-12 last year this would be their year. Granted they have some talent but they are far from invincible. They are still USCjr.

Kinda like we did Crompton vs. LSU?

That may be true, but Arkansas definitely has this much hype because of their coach, thats it. I think people underestimate how good Mallet was. Arkansas has a mediocre sec defense at best, Tyler Wilson's only game is against Auburn's secondary which was barely better than our secondary last year. With knile out too, I think they are easily the most overrated team maybe next to TCU.

What on earth is going on with the merges?

We now have the LSU QB arrest, is Arkansas over-rated, and SCe hype posts wandering through the OMG-a-Nashville-station-is-carrying-Bama-games thread.

I'm seriously lost here.

I haven't read through the thread, but I'm going to guess that a certain mod who shall not be named accidentally hit "merge" when he meant to hit "move". :banghead2:

I'll take the blame for the SCe hype post, I got my tabs crossed up and swore I was starting a new thread....sorry!

I was about to ask the same thing; somebody messed up.

Anyway, I've listened to some of Darren's show this morning, apparently it's called The First Quarter. I'll give some grace period to gel I guess, but so far I'll have to say putting McFarland on first thing in the morning is looking like a bad idea unless 102.5 is going to somehow provide coffee to all the listeners. He's putting me to sleep.

I liked Solomon's 2 minute drill where they get some quick input from other NFL cities around the country. Sure there were glitches yesterday but it was the 1st day. I'll give them a hall pass for now. Beats the holy f___ out of Plaster
