Well, let's see here. I have been to many cool places but I will list a few of my favorites.

Bryce Canyon, Redrock Canyon, Canyonlands of Utah, Grand Canyon. I have been to Yellowstone, the Badlands, Glacier Park, Grand Tetons, Messe Verde, Teddy Roosevelt National Park, Hot Springs Estes Park, Bar Harbor, Arcadia Park, Olympic National Park, Rocky Mountain and the Redwoods.

Some of the cool old western towns that I have visited are South Pass City, Virginia City, Dodge City and Carson City.

Some of the best camping that I have ever experienced were in places such as the White Mountains of New Hampshire, Green Mountains of Vermont, Glacier Park (my fav) and in Capital Reef down in the Canyons.

I have been up in the space needle in Seattle and the St. Louis Arch (fun ride up to that) I have seen the Plymouth Rock and I was expecting to see a huge rock, but I call it the Plymouth Stone now. It is tiny.

A couple of my favorite western places to visit are Jackson Hole Wyoming and Santa Fe New Mexico.

Some nice drives that I have been a part of were on the Oregon Coastal Highway (did I pass you Milo?), The Pacific Coast Highway, The Redwood, The Lonliest Higway in America which is higway 50 and the Going to the sun road in Glacier.

I only have 6 states that I need to visit to finish up this country and they are...Minnesota, Michigan, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alaska and Hawaii. So if any of you live in those 7 states, I would be more than happy to come stay with you. :D

Oh and like GrannyVol, I have been to Mt St. Helen's and have also seen Mt. Ranier.

We live less than an hour's drive from the Mississippi state line. Just let us know when you're coming so I can have the house cleaned up.

:p

i got this one

my home, sparta, tennessee. i bet no one has been here.

also livingston, tn where i lived most of my life

i was born in muncie indiana. thats where the movie hoosiers is based. letterman is from there. and so is garfield.

I know Sparta very well. Used to date a girl there years ago. Ever heard of the Keislings. Her dad was some kind of manager or something in one of the wood furniture places back then. She is probably 35 now. My dad's homeplace is right up the road in Cookeville. Used to go caving in Sparts in college too. Lost Creek Caves. Out the east side somewhere. Been to Livingston a couple of times. Some of hte prettiest areas of Tennessee around in there. Hiked into Savage Gulf and Virgin Falls up off Spencer Mtn. Also used to work for a landscaper in Sparts out 70 east during grad school at Tech.

man, montana is beutiful. would love to go up there. only in the summer though, gets cold up there. \

good pics milo.

Oops. Meant to pull one of Milo's quotes, but no matter. Yes, Montana is one of the great places to go. It is a must do trip in your lifetime. Summer doesn't really matter. Some of us college buddies went in July 97. Arrived in short sleaves, left in heavy coats. Regardless of time of year, take full spectrum of clothing. We started out on Park Lake outside Helena. Camped there several days and fly fished in the lake for cutthroat trout and arctic grayling. Then went on to Yellowstone instead of Galcier. Would have loved to do Glacier as well, but only had a week. We went into Yellowstone at 4:00 AM before the tourist arrivals. Saw things no one else will see during the busy hours. HUGE bull elk. I have a zoomed in photo of a Grizzly that we waited 2 hours to get on a hillside standing next to the buffalo it took down the night before. I was about 80 yards out when I got my photo, then hauled a** under the jeep as she bolted. Fortunately the crowds spooked her. Sad thing is people don't realize these are WILD animals, not a petting zoo. Saw people walking out to get close ups of buffalo and stuff. We had safely positioned ourselves for shots of the grizzly, but the crowds grew and there are really some idiots in this world when it comes to stuff like that. There is no place on earth like Montana. Got a picture of an Osprey coming off the Madison river with a trout in its talons. One of my prized pics. Being a decent avid photographer, I have some awsome shots of that trip. Stood on the Continetal divide. Ate the best steak ever had in a town called Marysville outside Helena. Just a whole different lifestyle. We blended with locals when the opportunity arose to experience the full trip.

The drive of Maui's "Road to Hana" is amazing. You can see North Shore waves, black sand beaches, a tropical rain forest, and the Seven Sacred Pools (Link), all in a 3 or 4 hour car ride. Stay on the west coast (Wailea or Kapalua) and leave early in the morning via jeep or convertible. Catch the Old Lahaina Luau for dinner (and mai tai's) on the way back.

I love beaches, hiking, boating, and biking. But NO PLACE in the U.S. holds a stick to Hawaii. Thinking back to my honeymoon trip feels very surreal, almost like a dream. It's as close to "paradise" as I've seen. Next trip: Kauai.

Sweet. I've been to every main island in Hawaii... I love the north side of Oahu. I've stayed at the Grand Wailea before as well, which was fantastic. Unbelievably beautiful.
