New UK uniforms for UT game

I guess gays have taken over sports now. The basic uniforms are not fashionable enough. Better to look good than play good.

Considering that these uniforms are reserved strictly for programs that have won national titles in Nike gear, I'd say they play pretty good.

That being said, I still wish they would have left Florida off the list. Posers.

All I can say is Tennessee is flattered to be copied. Kentucky trying to incorporate checkerboard. We know you guys want to be us this proves it.

exactly. im pretty sure this has been addressed but i dont remember, can we switch to nike. do we have an adidas contract for a set time?

Nike does not see Tennessee as a marquee program that would sell a lot of product. We would be a second-tier program to them. Adidas fancies Tennessee much more than Nike.

It just seems crazy to me that they think there are more fans buying merchandise from Arizona St. than would from UT.

not to rehash the never ending argument but ASU wouldn't be a top tier program for Nike. They would probably be about the same level as UT

I'm not saying Nike wouldn't take Tennessee if we wanted to switch. They just won't pay us more money than Adidas.

They are in Nike gear...sooo what is your point? Why sponsor some of these mid level schools in poor conferences if you argument is about markets? Half these teams could sell 90,000 tickets on Saturday at a bargain basement, but they would sell more merch?

all sponsorships are not equal. They don't pay the same money or give the same control to everyone. Adidas sees UT as elite and treats them as such. Nike does not. I like to support brands that support my university

Have you ever been on NikeID and tried to make any type of Orange basketball shoes? It doesn't turn out very pretty.

I guess Ky's colors are now grey or platinum or whatever the hell that color is supposed to be and blue and white. I don't understand why schools want to get away from their original school colors. Duke's black unis look like someone has taken a sh*t on them.

In the end, it's only about one thing. Money. Selling more varities of basically the same thing.

I can't stand Nike shoes. I'd much rather have adidas. More comfortable but that's just me.

personally i think they are pretty sick. why do we never get any sort of uniforms, shoes etc? the only thing i can remember is freaking BLUE shoes and warmups for maui, that was real stylish with our orange jerseys.

Yeah we looked like utm in them. It was bad

I like the "cheggerboard" pattern down the sides of the uniform.

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

I love it. Love the hate, it means that all is right in the world. Now, you guys have to hold up your end of the bargain in football.
