New Vanderbilt traditions

Said the poster who has "bamahtr" as their moniker. Yeah, all I do is talk about them 24/7 like they do about UT.

Yes, the charlatan is the chosen one. No one said they cared what you thought. If they did, they would have the same warped sense that Candy being relevant somehow benefits UT like you think. So I got "knews" for you, you ain't real smart!

If youre a Tennessee fan and dont hate Alabama, well you're really not a UT fan now are ya?

And I dont know who the "charlatan" is, you're talking in tongues again. And I cant help the idiots that dont understand that simple concept, I suppose you will just have to learn the hard way. :eek:lol:

I don't care for any SEC team. That SEC loyalty bullsh*t is just that.

If you don't know who the charlatan is you are as clueless as your pathetic statement of Candy being relevant actually helps UT.

Yeah, you really are teaching all of us a lesson with your infinite wisdom aren't you? Good Lord.

dude...I live 30 miles from the bama border...there are plenty of bama fans...but hell...look at what Bama has done the past 5 years....as for KY Bball..I don't care about Bball.....the pure fact that my Vol neighbor can look my LSU grad neighbor in the eye and say how UT is it all and LSU is nothing...I just laugh and say..hey...GO BRONCOS!!!!

Gotta love someone who's a Boise St. fan in Tennessee. I guess you're an alumni of that institution, huh?

By the way, please jump on the Boise St. bandwagon 100% and never claim to be a UT fan again. TIA

I dont know what that "SEC loyalty" comment has to do with anything...you're drifting again.

Right now Franklin is no more of a charlatan than Dooley, and we are no more relevant than Vandy.

I can tell by some of your comments that you have serious issues that neither I nor anybody else on this board can help you with. I'm actually surprised you can type so well while you're sucking a thumb. :eek:lol:

True. Some seem to have forgotten that Vanderbilt was the better team last year, the squeaker OT, UT win notwithstanding. Vandy was a bowl team last year.

SEC East W-L
Georgia 7-1
S Carolina 6-2
Florida 3-5
Vanderbilt 2-6
Kentucky 2-6
Tennessee 1-7

You sir are a complete i*&0$, look at Vandy's schedule, you will find Ol Miss in there. Not to mention we did beat them head to head.

No USCe fan here but I'm hoping they run Vandy into the ground 50-0 would be too close.

No, the SEC loyalty has to do with fans pulling for other SEC teams in bowl games. I pull for one team only.

Yeah, Dooley is trying to sell his fanbase a truckload of horsesh*t like Franklin is. Great comparison. Here's a clue, he doesn't have to. UT has a tradition. Candy doesn't.

I think it's obvious who is delusional here. Anyone who thinks that Candy being good actually benefits UT in any way is a moron. Because there is such a rich history of Candy being good and it benefiting UT for you to pull from right? LMAO.

Let's see, Candy got to avoid one of the better teams in the SEC in LSU and got a pathetic Ole Miss team. UT got Bama, LSU and Ark and no Ole Miss. There's your one game difference there bub to be bowl eligible. Also, UT beat Candy head to head. I'd say that nullifies any argument.

Do you people even research anything or just throw sh*t up on a wall hoping something sticks?

Edit: Also, Candy played Elon (WTF?), UCONN (5-7), Army (3-9) and Wake Forest (6-7) in non-conference play. Only one of those teams was bowl eligible and they ended the season with a losing record. Just like Candy.

Well then you're an even sadder individual than I thought. "I'm not a football fan, I'm a UT fan by god!" :eek:lol: Enjoy your one game this weekend. I'm going both games in Atlanta, I suppose that makes me disloyal.

I am very happy with the way Dooley represents the university. And Franklin isn't doing anything Kiffin didn't do in his 14 months, I suppose it was OK for Kiffin, but not for Franklin? Whatever he's doing, he sure seems to be feeding your unnatural obsession with Vanderbilt. And if his recruiting class is any measure what this is that he's doing thats driving you so crazy must be working. #15 class right now and by Vandy standards that ain't bad, Hell Fulmer would have killed for that class!

Now you can go curl up with your wittle banky and keep telling yourself it helps UT when SC, UF, and UGA can count the Dores as an automatic W! :good!:

UT had a tougher schedule, beat Vandy head to head, and had UT actually shown up against KY, VU likely would have been left out of a bowl.

Also last year's UT team was the worst since 1988, and it was Vandy's second best team since 1982. Vandy's second best team in 30 years couldn't beat our worst team in 23 years; on top of that in 2008 VU's best team since 1982 couldn't beat the then worst UT team since 1988, at their house.

Simply put, in only 1 game in 30 years has VU beaten UT, and that year UT was 5-6, and two of their best teams in years couldn't beat our worst in years.

So no, I'm not ready to proclaim them the new champions of Tennessee.

Vandy's tradition in football is LOSING.
Franklin can't change that!

I read the same stupid crap on UT boards about South Carolina when SOS took the job. "SC SUCKS, NOTHING SPURRIER CAN DO ABOUT THAT! HAHA"

You guys are being very short sighted and again some of you seem to have an irrational blind spot for Vandy because of history. History means jacksh** in 2012 if Franklin has taught his 19 returning starters how to close.

Vanderbilt administration has always been the biggest enemy of the football program. But if they are clearing a path, and Franklin sticks in Nashville and puts together 3-4 Top 25 classes together there's no reason they cant win 7-8 games a year and play spoiler in the East.

I'm not saying it's not possible, I'm just not ready to proclaim that it's definitely going to happen. Bobby Johnson was in pretty much the same position in 2005 and 2008 and they returned to "normal" in 2009.

And I think Franklin is getting way too much credit for the results we've seen. Sure he got them to a bowl (not hard to do these days) but at best he's matched Johnson's success; actually no he hasn't, Johnson won his bowl game.

Franklin is now on par with Spurrier? Dude, you made your point and now you are sounding foolish. Franklin has yet to earn respect from Vols fans and comes across as a doucher.

No, you guys look like fools for making a comparison that I did not. South Carolina had a culture of losing, UT fans said there was nothing Spurrier or anybody could do about it, that changed...predictably.

Course if I listened to online UT fans there's not anybody in the SEC that can coach a lick or is not a total scumbag. Wait :)olol:) I'm not putting Franklin in Spurrier's class, that'll likely never happen, I'm just saying to all the guys whistling past the graveyard with all this nonsense about Vandy's "history" it means nothing this year. Just like UT's all time top 10 in wins means zilch right now.
