South Carolina has one division title in a year with the big three in the dumps.

Vanderbilt will never be a football powerhouse. Vanderbilt will never win six games yearly. You come on here tooting Franklin's horn, talking about Vandy being on the rise and their impending seven win season like it's a given. It is not.

Vandy lacks the fan support to be huge. They lack the facilities, they will always lack the talent to regularly compete, and they lack a head coach with any ability other than a penchant for blowing smoke.

When Vanderbilt manages more than one win against us in my lifetime, and when their conference games cease to be attended by 75-80% opposing fans, maybe someone will get on your side. Until then, you have the distinct appearance of a poor man's Clay Travis, and you should be embarrassed.

You comparing Spurrier to Franklin though is high comedy. Those two coaches and those two programs are not the same. USCjr has had mild success, hell, even a heisman trophy winner. They've won 8, 9 and 10 games before Spurrier. Candy? Nothing but abject failure since WW II. Just like your posts.

Ky has shown the model for bowl eligibility lately for mediocre programs. Schedule 4 creampuffs in out-of- conference matches and all you have to do is get two wins in the SEC. With 12 games being a regular occurrence now, it's even easier for a team like Candy to get bowl eligible. Without that extra out-of-conference game last year against a patsy, they don't go bowling.

Vanderbilt administration has always been the biggest enemy of the football program. But if they are clearing a path, and Franklin sticks in Nashville and puts together 3-4 Top 25 classes together there's no reason they cant win 7-8 games a year and play spoiler in the East.

Well he refused to accept that attitude, and so does Franklin. Thats the only comparison, except for the fact that both Vandy and SC historically are dogs, and have the same winning % against UT within a few points.

Who's "trashing the program?" We have 4 losing seasons in the last 7 years, that is a statement of fact, its not trashing the program. I am on record as being a huge supporter of Dooley, and I'm headed to Atlanta tomorrow night to show that support. If you guys cant handle some straight talk about a conference rival thats not my problem.

A Top 10 team is coming to Nashville and only a 6.5 favorite over pitiful little Vandy. Does that not register with any of you guys? Vegas thinks Vanderbilt will cover, thats why the line hasnt moved even though all the money is on SC....to attract more suckers.

I guess I will have to go to my grave wondering why any UT fan could be worried about or so obsessed with Vanderbilt they would waste more than 2 minutes arguing about it. Oh well, just like Fulmer's vanishing IQ I guess this will remain a mystery. :good!:
