New York City

How people stand in subway stations based on a tiny section of one platform is not one of those times, you just fell for BS because you wanted it to be true
I would also think it matters where that station was located.
Some are more…….sketchy than others.

Time of day definitely matters too
I think that’s pretty evident everywhere.
I’m critical of the city I once lived in and still love. It’s just not what it used to be but honesty matters. Criminals are everywhere. More people in New York means more criminals and crime.

Illegitimate news source. Governor is falling victim to the misinformation.

Kathy Hochul wants cops on every overnight NYC subway train: 'No one should be in fear'

Wait, the low life liberals are saying it's totally safe. But one of their own, the leader of that state, is calling them liars and saying it's not safe. Looks like the libs believe their own BS and don't have the decency to admit they're wrong. Or maybe they're just a bad troll.

Or maybe Hochul is engaging in a political stunt to appease suburban voters who read conservative tabloids and don't live here. The only incident involving the NYPD in the subway was when they shot someone for jumping a turnstile and inadvertently shot a few other bystanders in the process

Maybe. Or she saw the video of a women set on fire and guy pushed in front of a train. Not sure that’s a political stunt, more public safety as the Governor.

It's a political stunt just like the National Guard in subway stations was a political stunt, people just prefer the fairytales they read in conservative tabloids which is why everyone is stupid now. Far more people here die on the roads than in the subway system

It’s a tricky situation. Had the liberal elected officials made the city safe it wouldn’t had been an issue. But since the conservative media has highlighted the violent crimes in major metro cities, they have to default as ā€œisolated incidentsā€ based on numbers. Everyday violent crimes are just normal now: stabbings, murder, rape and robbery. They can’t publicly say the dropped the ball as that would be admitting the conservatives were right again.

Lol at dancing around but somehow missing the point that all of those things were far more normal 20-30 years ago, but there wasn't as much "conservative media" and misinformation playing up every crime as the end of the world

Those videos look authentic enough for me. It seems you would rather continue to see your fellow New Yorkers suffer, violated, threatened then to admit this is unacceptable living. Your fairytale spin may be your own denial of everything is fine. Personally, I wouldn’t defend what’s happened not just recently but say since Covid as no big deal.

Yeah we know, you double down on everything forever but it's a really stupid conversation about 2 billion subway riders and 12 deaths being "unacceptable living" given how many people die on the roads right above them. People will buy anything the NY Post is selling if they're stupid, and the post above is mostly unrelated rambling about something that is in fact a political stunt

Just curious, when did you move there? Those damn video phones causing all that misinformation. Simpleton response is blaming conservative media for exposing it. Are you need Maddow to validate it?

Just like the other post, you took something with a very clear point (there was way more crime in the past but fewer bull**** tabloids dramatizing it), avoided the point - which is a verifiable fact - and just started rambling about unrelated BS

Except the local news coverage, NYT and other publications all taking a stance of the increase in violence. But in your eyes it’s just a political stunt, as you try to convince others to unsee what they see.
