Police far too often use and abuse "resisting arrest" as a catch all charge that allows them to violate you.Resisting arrest is not a minor offense
But critics of the police say both of these charges — obstruction of justice and resisting arrest — can be abused by police to justify groundless arrests. Burney says these charges sometimes are invoked by police who are trying to maintain their status as, as he puts it, "Boss Dog."
"There is this — it's not necessarily an evil mentality — but it is a mentality that, 'I am in charge, and you shall not contradict me, you're going to do what I say, at all costs,' " he says. "And if you don't do what they say, well now all of a sudden you're a bad person and they've got to arrest you for that."
What if it is an unlawful arrest? What if you are a Jew in Nazi Germany? An escaped slave in the Antebellum South? Not what I said. I said fleeing can absolutely be violent and a danger to the officer and others. No sane normal person would say it’s ok to fight or run from the police
He most recently worked as assistant director of operations for parking at the medical campus of Virginia Commonwealth University, according to his LinkedIn, after retiring from the NYPD in 2006. He left the police department after 20 years of service, the Daily Mail reported.
Deblasio 2.0? Looking that way early. Just another guy that talks a good game before the job then turns in a 2-14 type of NFL season.

Well, this should empty a few more office buildings and move about 800,000 American citizens to the south.
I was worried about this myself (presidential vote) and actually looked up the voting records for the 4 largest counties, and surprisingly it has remained fairly consistent for the last 20 years, with Memphis and Nashville voting for democrats and Knoxville and Chattanooga voting republican. Local politicians in all 4 metro areas though were solidly blue for the most part.Do we really want the risk of more fools from these states? This ain't a celebration. Tennessee is stable but for how long? A lot of these people to associate bad policy with moving to red states like you think. They could literally create real problems like we've seen in Georgia, North Carolina, Arizona, etc. All these states have been invaded with liberals from other states.
There's already a whole thread about this. It's been pretty thoroughly demonstrated that the "anyone can vote" headline is not accurate.Anyone-can-vote madness hits NYC, serving up yet another far-left victory: Goodwin
Routine definitions of the word “citizen” include such phrases as a “person who legally belongs to a country and has the rights and protection of that country” and a person “who owes allegiance to a government and is entitled to protection from it.”
The decision by New York’s City Council to allow more than 800,000 noncitizen immigrants to vote in municipal elections is a watershed moment for the left’s goal of erasing standards and merit in American life.
In this case, the compact between rights and responsibilities is severed, with only the rights remaining to the immigrants who are relieved of any responsibilities to the city and the other 8 million inhabitants.
