man i am so darn excited. this season is not even over with and i am already for next year to begin. if we win the next 3 and become bowl eligible that will be so huge. another month of practice for our "BABY VOLS" and man we will take off with that extra experience. 6 wins would be alot better than most predicted and IMHO i believe we could have beaten the likes of oregon and florida if we just had more depth. when it comes to football in the first half tennessee has proved they are just as good as anybody when it comes to talent. they are just so young and depth kind of sucks. man i am so excited.

Dunaway doesnt have a commitable offer right now IMO. Grades are an issue with him. He could possibly be one we over sign with.

Dawson's visit this weekend is huge if we can get in the mix w/ him. If we miss on Paul and Dawson we may take Dunaway late

which freshman class are you talking bout bud? i was pretty excited about bryce brown and janzen jackson. idk about you. and we have won 3 games this year dude. yeah we are young but its not like we are world beaters.

Well dude, at this point last year we did not have the freashman(class of 2010) playing and proving they can play. Aslo bud, to me it never seemed like we had the momentum, in multiple aspects of the program, that we do now. Maybe this to just to much for you to comprehend. Sorry for ya!

Please refer to #77 of this thread. Feel the excitement.

I don't know about that. To say that there is more excitement around the program right now than over the last two years is a stretch. I think that there was definitely more excitement surrounding the program for most of last year, not just recruiting (though, recruiting did stand out as far as excitement goes).

We took a punch in the gut when Kiffin left and I don't think that the excitement will be back up there for a while because most people are still trying to get back on their feet (and our current record doesn't help you jump back up).

Dooley is doing some good things - I hope the excitement continues to build.

This is one of the reason I feel like there is so much excitement surrounding the program, because we have been punched in the gut and for us to have responded so well should give us all kinds of excitement and pride. Not many programs can repond, to the what we have been thru and come thru like we have. The Vol family should be proud and be excited for the this to come. There is alot of hope for us upto this point. We are a very proud program and this just proves that we can survive hard times.

lol at you thinking you know what you are talking about. Maybe the reason the (class of 2010) freshman werent playing and proving they could play was because they were still in HS? just a thought.

The only reason we have so many young players playing this year is because we just dont have anyone else. Last year, we did.

Ask LV sometime about the 2010 class kiffin had set up to come in here. And honestly, what momentum are you talking about? a win over memphis? seriously dude just stop.

and my point is that i was much more excited about kiffin getting us competitive again in a year than i am about dooley getting us competitive again in 3. I am not saying it is Dooley's fault, but vol fans definitely had a lot more to be excited about before kiffin left.

You must really be an unhappy person. I feel sorry for you. You must live a miserable life. I hope things turn around for you in the future.

haha so because you are wrong, i am unhappy? awesome dude. keep up that selective memory. There are good times ahead for the vols, but dont kid yourself about the excitement of the time with Kiffin. that staff's recruitment was going to have us back to the top in no time.

Oh so now you are feeling the excitement I have been talking about. So according to your last statement CDD staff wont have anything to do with it. Smart, real smart. I'm moving on. GBO!

I was also a huge Kiffin fan, but also believe in what Dooley can do, just not as quickly as what Lane would've done it in...

DT-Brandon Willis
OLB- Christian Jones
CB- Nickell Robey
DE/DT- J.C. Copeland

They are 4 names that would been here if Kiffin didn't leave. Not to mention we would still have Bryce Brown and Aaron Douglas. I believe by 2012 w/ Kiffin we would have won the SEC. In 2012 w/ Dooley we will compete but the defense particularly LB scares me to death.

This is great. There is alot of excitement around the program right now, moreso than the past 2 years. The win over Memphis and how we played, the commitment we got last night and all the promise our freshmen hold, have really injected some spirit into the program. I hope we win Saturday and things keep looking up for us. We all know we deserve some good things happening to us. As always, it great to be a Tennessee Vol!

i am telling you no, there is not more excitement than their was the past two years. We beat one of the worst teams in college football. It is what it is. Maybe your selective memory lets you forget about getting blown out by most all of our other opponents this year, and the fact that we are 0-5, but mine does not. Yeah, the recruiting class and the experience our frosh are getting brings some excitement, but i am telling you its nothing compared to what kiffin brought.

You're wrong.

whatever you say bud. but if you need proof, volnation was more "excited" the day after the loss to UCLA in 2009 than they have been about ANY commitment this year. Thats just one of the many examples.

Well, thats your opinion. I dont agree with it and neither do alot of people I have asked. Some agree, some dont. I have my opinion about things and so do you. It may not always be the same and thats ok. How can you tell someone they are wrong when it is thier opinion? We all have our own thoughts about things whatever that maybe, can not be right or wrong because it is what it is in our own opinion.
