Neyland Stadium Nickname

I've always referred to it as Neyland or Rocky Top. But, some of you may not know that many of our longtime rivals (or rivals of years past) call it "the erector set."

We call our hallowed stadium Neyland Stadium. If you must refer to it as something else,Rocky Top is an acceptable alternative. If anyone dares to change those,I shall unleash a furious vengeance. GO VOLS!

Actually it used to be a tradition to fire a small cannon on "The Hill" after each Tennessee touchdown (http://www.bcyesteryear.com/node/479). That was, of course, before the North end zone was enclosed.

Neyland Stadium is a pretty established and recognizable name as such is Soldier Field, or Lambeau(sp). It doesn't really need to be nicknamed, IMO. It needs it's reputation back.

I think in 2009 he wanted the "This is Big Orange Country" sign officially changed to "This is Kiffin Kountry".

That can go with air raid sirens that was suggested before Jr season of Bray by some posters... Went over like following a fat girl at golden correl in the buffet line

Didn't the Big Orange Army or whatever they were called try to get an official nickname for Neyland going a few years ago? Fort Neyland or something like that IIRC.

Neyland, and Rocky Top, both do the trick. :good!:
