Neyland Stadium

Keep seeing where Aggie fans are complaining about Neyland Stadium being run down, walkways are too narrow, seats are too close together and the concessions are not good enough.
honestly I can't argue with that in the upper sections (south) especially. Walkways too narrow, bathrooms are horrid, seats too close (but not much you can do about that I don't think), etc.

also Neyland could use a nice paint job on all the beams in the off season imo too

I think in the future you're going to see more stadiums be redesigned more for comfort than the # of people in seats (right or wrong)

That, and more brick facade so you don't see them at all.

The way I see it, Neyland Stadium is a football stadium where men play football. We really just want a place where we can get as many Vols fans as possible in one place where they can make a lot of noise and watch football.

Maybe the Aggie fans should take their "yell leaders" and go watch a symphony or an opera somewhere. No wonder they have never won a championship of any significance in their existence.
That’s probably because - in a lot of places -it’s run down, walkways are too narrow, seats are too close together and the concessions are not good enough.

Unfortunately, like in a lot of college stadiums, updates are overdue.

I haven't personally been to any other SEC stadiums... what are theirs like compared to ours?

The whole “seats are too close together“ kills me. Name me a stadium where you don’t sit hip to hip with another person? There isn’t any unless you’re at vandy 😂
Neyland is easily the worst I’ve ever been in as far as seating space goes.

Not much different honestly other than the seating space. Our atmosphere is second to none, but the facility needs upgrades in key spots.

It's a glorious relic that holds so many good memories and loud as heck. Yes, I do think that restrooms should be upgraded, but I wouldn't change much else. I love Neyland!!!

This is why those upper deck North EndZone seats are worth sitting in that secrion. Chairbacks for all😎
is there more legroom/space in that section with those chairbacks? I've been debating on moving my season tickets there (if possible).. .I'm in section II right now so I'm in the crappy section but I'm on the end of a row which is nice and enjoy the view of the student section, band, and fireworks from there so debating if I should try to move to the North side if something opens up

is it easy to get in/out over there on the far side and are the concessions/bathrooms better there too?

Was in the lowest part of XX1 for the USCjr game. Remember feeling squished, sitting leaned forward so my shoulders weren’t pushing people out (I’m 5’10” 215, nothing crazy) and so the less than considerate fan behind me’s knee wouldnt dig into my back, and rotated sideways when standing up.

They’re not wrong (but they are a bunch of whiners). That said, I wouldn’t change anything. I don’t want less fans in the stadium. I’m just always going to go lower bowl from now. If I’m gonna be squished, I’m gonna be as close to the action as possible.
