Keep seeing where Aggie fans are complaining about Neyland Stadium being run down, walkways are too narrow, seats are too close together and the concessions are not good enough. The way I see it, Neyland Stadium is a football stadium where men play football. We really just want a place where we can get as many Vols fans as possible in one place where they can make a lot of noise and watch football.
Maybe the Aggie fans should take their "yell leaders" and go watch a symphony or an opera somewhere. No wonder they have never won a championship of any significance in their existence.
I’ve always thought the same thing. Our stadium should just be nicer than it is and if you’ve traveled much, you understand that big stadiums like Auburn, Alabama, SC and even UGA in some places are just more comfortable places to watch a game. The Aggie complainers are right. Instead of adding another Jumbotron, the university could have widened the bleachers to fit a healthy adult male. The seating is pathetic and there’s no excuse for it when we’re downsizing the capacity.
I have two in ZZ14 and two in GGis there more legroom/space in that section with those chairbacks? I've been debating on moving my season tickets there (if possible).. .I'm in section II right now so I'm in the crappy section but I'm on the end of a row which is nice and enjoy the view of the student section, band, and fireworks from there so debating if I should try to move to the North side if something opens up
is it easy to get in/out over there on the far side and are the concessions/bathrooms better there too?
Keep the Visitor's Locker Room poorly maintained in the same fashion.I will say this - as it is a reflection of the university, it’s an embarrassment to have our guests sit in those sections. I wish those areas could be just like section S where I like to sit. But they aren’t- not yet anyway. And if you’ve never been in those seats, it’s eye opening. It’s exactly as bad as they describe- and that’s sad.
At the same time, the inner redneck in me wants to say: “to hell with ‘em, I hope they hate it so much they never come back.”
Awesome thanks for that info. Is it relatively easy to get in/out from that side and are the walkways, concessions, bathrooms better on that side as well?I have two in ZZ14 and two in GG
My son gets the GG tickets..
The difference in comfort levels with regard to seating between the upper deck endzones is definitely worth moving for imo.
And legroom is great! No ones knees in your back or yours in others.
The chairbacks don't start until row 11 or 12 so make sure to ask about them. The first rwo or two rows are also charibacks but are at a different price point.
The upper section where we put visiting fans is definitely among the most outdated, and it is in need of renovation. The main concourse in the lower bowl is perfectly acceptable for a large stadium

That smell is from those thousand bodies buried under the stadium.I love going to the historic sports venues like Wrigley Field. It has lots of drawbacks compared to the newer facilities. I attended not so long ago when Wrigley first put lights up for night games there. There are seats where you're going to be expected to have Superman's xray vision as you're sitting behind a steel girder, restrooms obviously older vintage, things like that. Neyland has that look and flavor as well even though improvements have occurred through the years. History oozes out of that place and you can almost smell those old hard leather helmets. If fans more especially those from opposing teams cannot appreciate that %$#@ 'em.
That's what I was thinking when reading it. Yep, all sounds accurate! I had season tickets in up there several years ago. Such a mess getting in and out.The east and south concourses are garbage and actually an evacuation hazard. Been that way since I was in school. Since that’s where the opposing ticket allocation is, I completely agree with them.
Yep. Virtually any team's traveling fanbase is.I love Tennessee and the Vols but A&M fans aren’t wrong. Especially, when comparing Neyland to Kyle Field. Kyle Field is really nice. A&M fans are typically highly educated people with money. Everything looks new in college station. People like that can’t appreciate an older venue with historic relevance. A&M fans are normally extremely nice people, surprised to hear they said anything negative.
