Nico’s eligibility?

I’m not the only one who fears the worst here, none of us know what will happen from this, Somebody is trying to make a example out of us and take us down they see that we are a program on the rise and a threat to them with a generational QB in Nico. I think we all know who that someone is too. If nothing else this whole situation will negatively affect recruiting and the timing of it is very suspicious.
I honestly don’t know who that someone is… I can think of some possibilities but no one really stands out as the most likely. Could you just tell us who you’re referring to?

Atlanta sports talk radio would not have a clue about our situation 🤣
Again, I’m just the messenger here, but this guy (can’t recall his name) said he has sources in the NCAA. He also mentioned our women’s soccer team is somehow tied up in this too but didn’t elaborate.

I’m just the messenger here but I was listening to sports talk radio in the outter Atlanta suburbs this afternoon (mostly UGA fans), and they were saying that Nico likely loses a year of eligibility, if not being declared ineligible for his entire college career. They also think Heupel will be forced out and receive a show cause penalty over this. They said this is a much bigger deal than what happened under Pruitt and AD Fulmer’s watch. They don’t think Danny White is safe either. Finally, they said Spyre will likely be shut down and our players won’t be able to receive any NIL deals for years. They did agree we were being treated very unfairly but said the NCAA is out to make an example of certain teams, and our only chance is likely through the court system.
Shocker ncaa tells local mouthpiece stuff to say about Tennessee to spread fear and smear their name. Also they would not take away nicos full eligibility. Ever, no matter the circumstance. They are not gonna ruin a kids life over something when he was 18. So yeah, Nico would not be suspended for his full college career. Also secondly Heupel hasnt even been named in investigations. They have said spyre and the AD. Not Heupel

Edit: it’s also a good thing that Tennessee is determined to take this to the court system if needed

There are some idiots loose on social media. This UGA homer assessment of our situation is predictable, and probably is shared through all our rivals. Gotta say, I'd get a little excited at some news that said UGA had issues. I would hope the punishment fit the crime for them.

BUT...

Swain was saying Bama fans calling Finebaum supporting us, so it's not as bad as all that. The mindset is old school. Those wishing Tennessee failure just are uninformed and most likely think this is yet another dispute between a school and the NCAA and they are used to the pre-NIL way of life to sit back and see us get hammered after it festers for many years. That's the model everyone is sick of.

This is different. Yes, the allegations haven't formally been presented to Plowman, but she most likely already knows.

What it comes down to - NCAA is used to holding court and being judge, jury, hangman etc. Now that aren't fighting schools in their own arena. The arena is federal court and it doesn't bode well that the supreme court ruled 9-0 against them (precedent set), and using the Sherman anti-trust act.

I'm not saying the people calling in on the radio shows are dumb, but they are just not up to speed what this is really all about. If they had someone explain it to them, they'd bandwagon. As a matter of fact, I think it won't be long until other states pile on. We aren't the only ones the NCAA is sniffing around about.

You need something better to listen to. A lot of political capital pushed to the center of the table betting on Tennessee winning this one. I will go with the smart money over Atlanta talk radio.

NCAA can say whatever they want. Tennessee is going to tell them to kiss their ass. Course is set there’s no change of course for Tennessee at this point.
