He is ready. May never be a super star, but if he is not better than Gaston Moore, look out.Nico is not ready, not all his fault, the play calling was also bad, but he missed an easy pass at the end I think to the TE, he also has no urgency about him wasting time at the start of drives, not running looking down field WAY too long... Gaston Moore needs to start, he might not make some of the big plays Nico does but he will make the little ones consistently. I'm not giving up on Nico, but he needs to sit and watch Gaston run the show and learn.
He played timid tonight, he has to take what they give. He passed up runs he could have taken early that would have loosened them up. Tried to stay in pocket too long sometimes. Missed check down guys trying to get the big play a few times. He is for sure going to have to be aggressive as a runner. But tonight his throws were often off. But he is young but he has to become more confident and aggressive. This will be the biggest problem with the whole NIL thing. Nico is being compensated as if he is ready, and we don't exactly have any recourse on that end.
That’s like saying that we should’ve benched Hooker to get Joe ready for the next season. Always go with the best at the time, most fans, coaches and players aren’t for throwing away a chance of winning a game to put in someone who isn’t ready. This is why you bench Milton half way thru last year.
Nico can be the guy but he needs to catch up to the speed of the college game and he’s just not there. You only get there with experience—which he should have got last year. Frustrating to see the obvious.
I would say some lies with Nico and Josh.you drunk bud
