Nico leaving?? [NOPE]

I know you've established this persona as the "nega-vol" that some might find endearing in some bizarre way, maybe because you've played that role for years on here. But damn, it really gets tiresome. Not just you, but also your partners in crime who traverse the same path and claim to be such loyal fans.

Constructive criticism as part of a discussion is a great thing that enhances forums like this one, but constant unabated negativity just for its own sake gets so old and predictable.
I think he just does it to be cute and get attention. Nobody can be that incessantly negative every minute of the day. If they are, I wouldn’t be caught in the same room with them. I swear he, LOM and loservol are triplets separated at birth. They are the only ones that like each others dipstick posts. Got one on Ignore and the other two are on the verge.

I dont think getting pounded in the playoff hurt these teams the next year.
Not all of them but quite a few did hurt.

OSU 42
Oregon 20

Mark Helfrich never got the momentum back and got fired 2 years later

ND 3
Clemson 30
Brian Kelly left them the following season

OSU 24
Bama 52

Clemson 44
Bama 16

These two were national title games, so not apples to apples with us because they at least won the first round... But Ryan Day hasn't beaten Michigan since and has been on the hot seat despite winning 10+ games a year.

Clemson 31
OSU 0

After this game, Urban lost his mojo, never made it back to the playoffs, and was "forced out" 2 years later.

Oklahoma 28
LSU 63

Lincoln Riley never made the playoffs again after this and has been regressing every year, at OU and now at USC.

Michigan st 0
Bama 38

Mich State went 3-9 the following year

FSU 20
Oregon 59

FSU never made the playoffs since, Jimbo didn't win the conference the following year, and was forced out of town 3 years afterwards

TCU 7
Georgia 65

TCU went 5-7 the following year

I'm not big on using 'ignore' because I like to hear all points of view, but when someone takes the negative viewpoint in every damn discussion just for the sake of it, maybe that's the best answer.

You have a lot more patience than I have Sami. There are any number of folks whose point of view I have absolutely no interest in hearing. Especially when they have proven to be insufficient in intellect over and over and over.

You are talking about coaches not programs. OSU didn't suffer because of Urban. Organ hasn't suffered because of that beat down. Point being, it happens, UT will not suffer because of that game.

All you cats downing Nico need to ask yourselves how many freshman QBs have had seasons like he did. Not just at TN….. anywhere …. Then ask yourselves which of the Vols receivers will be drafted….. then ask yourselves how many Olinemen will be…… then STFU
He had big games against bad opponents. Otherwise, I saw zero improvement over the course of the season against better teams. Maybe, I'm blind! I'm obviously in the minority here.

Of course not, but can you honestly say you saw improvement from Nico over the course of the season?
Across the board improvement? No.. IMO though, he did show some improvement. I would argue, if you're dedicated and working hard, it would be almost impossible to not improve at all, in any area.

I think you have to ask the question, were the conditions for his improvement ideal? Those conditions are dependent on multiple things, some of which are not within his control. An example would be if your OL is worse and/or constantly making mistakes, this would naturally impede your ability to progress and quite possibly cause regression.
