Night Owls/Insomniacs Thread Part III

Started a diet yesterday. Trying to figure out a way to workout without a gym. And also try and go to bed at decent times....😑

Agreed. But I'm 24 and the physical results were not great. My biggest challenge is curbing alcohol. Beer specifically. I'm at 225 and set a goal of 190 by June.

I'm 5'11" 230 31yo.

By my 32 bd I want to be down to 215. I have that weird body type, I seem to have high metabolism but I can gain weight fast, I was once an athlete, when I quit competing I started lifting and gained a bunch of muscle, then I wrecked a motorcycle and quit working out , gained a lot of weight, I was 250 at one point but I seem to hover around 230 steadily.

Now I have a 1 hr workout routine in the am, and drink organic plant protein and a gallon of water every day.
My eating habits have changed but I feel like I'm starving, this night shift has really stressed out my body.
No alcohol or cigars until I get my weight down.

But little to no sugar, high protein and proper carbs I'm feeling a difference after a month of exercising daily and eating right, already my work pants fit loose, and my face is trimming down.

Good luck

You don't need a gym to workout. Stick to stretching and jogging or walkin for a while then slowly add strength and conditioning exercises. People make the mistake and hit it hard right away then get discouraged, take your time don't hurt yourself.

I was around 230lbs before the cirrhosis brought on the ascites. Now I weigh a lot more, but that happens when you start to retain fluid.

I was an athlete in high school and stayed pretty active up until my junior year of college. I have family medical issues that cover a page and my last test results seemed to be heading that way. I know I can do it. Hell I did it in high school when I wrestled. But I also didn't drink then either. I have always straight up hated running, even when I was in great shape. It also doesn't help I have a 9 hour a day desk job!

That's the goal. I have a great neighborhood to jog and walk in.

Yeah I understand. I went from landscaping, working 12+ hrs outside 20 days straight every now and then, then my body started breaking down and I couldn't keep up, now I work inside as a machinist and while my current job isn't a physical challenge it sure takes its toll on my brain. And being less active sucks. But I got 2 boys now and I want to be able to hve the energy and strength to keep up with em atleast until they're 13 and 10!

I never ran much, but now that I can't run I miss being able to.
