Well y'all probably don't care, but while watching the eclipse I decided to stay at my current job and tough it out, hoping they send me to days sometime soon.
It was tough. Maybe I passed up the opportunity of a lifetime, maybe I made the right choice . But it was my choice, I can't over think it.
Loyalty is important to me and I figured as long as I'm loyal to this company they will be loyal to me.

Pulling for you!
Thanks y'all appreciate it. I just didn't want to be that guy who threatens to leave a company to get what they want, we have one there now on a different shift and people stay cleaning up his mess and he's not liked by anyone. I don't work for their families but being part of a team is important in my line of work. You may be able to do it all by yourself but you need others to be there for you.
Granted I had a conversation with my boss about my future there and never brought the fact I was considering leaving, he never told me what I wanted to hear exactly but basically I'm becoming an asset and assets get what they deserve. And they want to keep me on Noghts because I don't need a "babysitter" . I get it but come on.
I really do love my line of work, not many people get the chance do the type of work I do (my department particularly, there's millions of machinist). So basically that's why I'm staying, and I am good at what I do and took a lot of work to get here.
