UA is already more popular with teens than adidas, and its not even close anymore. I think UA is redneck gear but at least they are sinking money into tech where adidas just blows money on advertising and is content to just copy Nike's tech a year late.

DeerPark12, you adidas lover, where are you?

What the hell do teens know?

UA gear is 3rd rate and like someone else stated, they are a fad.

UA is just proof that marketing works. Doesn't matter how good the product is as long as you have a good commerical

Yeah exactly! Oh wait, teens are the ones we are recruitng so that doesn't make sense. They had problems with the UA shoes here at first but they got them fixed. They also guarantee teams like Auburn, USCjr., Texas Tech, etc. spots in nationally televised commercials. UA is extremely popular with this generation of athletes.

I meant if we were going to switch from Adidas, I would rather it be to Under Armour than Nike. They have the same thing Adidas really has going for them, which is a smaller group of schools.

Not tons, ALL of them have Adidas

I love adidas lovers trying to legitimize adidas by using the NBA when the reality is the NBA told adidas "We'll take your money but you're not putting that sorry logo on game jerseys."

I'm not an Adidas lover, nor does that statement make it seem like I am....if you payed attention, which you obviously didn't, I was just correcting the other person.

I actually prefer Nike

I didn't mean to imply that you were. I quoted you because you gave an accurate statement in reply to an adidas lover.
If I was directing that to you I would have said "you adidas lovers."

I just don't get the whole Nike or Adidas thing. Is it really that big of a deal what kind of shoes/jersey's someone wears? Maybe I'm missing something in this whole thing. Seems to me that playing time or chance to win would be a bigger influence.

It's very subtle, but Sneaker affiliation does have an influence when it comes to recruits. For the most part Nike controls the AAU circuit.

Want to know why some of you think our other two recruits are under-rated? Take a look at their AAU pictures and tell me what type of uniforms they have on. They don't play the nike circuit.

The major recruits play on Nike Teams, Nike tournaments and what kind of schools do you think have an easier access to their Nike AAU coaches? Nike Schools.

You don't want UA just ask some maryland fans.

And you definitely don't want Reebok ask Tobias what type of shoes he was wearing when he broke his foot during the McDonalds game.

you do realize your hate for Adidas is completely irrational right?

Trust me, don't even try that argument with him. He will just start to make even more irrational comments and come up with "facts" like, "Nike material feels better than Adidas" and "Adidas shoes gave me shin splints so I don't like them".

It's not worth fighting.

Did somebody stomp your ass out while wearing a pair of adidas?I'm one of those "adidas lovers" you refer to but only for one simple reason, Nike sucks.Speaking of sorry logos, the only reason I can think of for the Nike swoosh is "If your product sucks put a check mark here".
