I had no idea people were this serious about their athletic brands. Jesus....
I just don't get the whole Nike or Adidas thing. Is it really that big of a deal what kind of shoes/jersey's someone wears? Maybe I'm missing something in this whole thing. Seems to me that playing time or chance to win would be a bigger influence.
And you definitely don't want Reebok ask Tobias what type of shoes he was wearing when he broke his foot during the McDonalds game.
I highly doubt the type of shoe he was wearing had anything to do with his foot breaking....but a good excuse to try and throw a brand under the bus. Im by no means a Rebook supporter, Im just saying
UT's contract with Adidas is up on June 30, 2010...so LA Gear is still a possibility!
Don't count out British Knights. I hear they are making a new line that has tons of cool commercials and since we think 18yr. olds have the same brain power as pre-schoolers its rumored they will make you run faster too! Also for the elite schools there will be zippers on the sides like the old roos to stash all the drugs in so you know its gonna be a hit. Hide the drugs and run faster from cops whats not to like!
if we were to change to nike would our jerseys change and what are the chances of switching to nike?
It's very subtle, but Sneaker affiliation does have an influence when it comes to recruits. For the most part Nike controls the AAU circuit.
Want to know why some of you think our other two recruits are under-rated? Take a look at their AAU pictures and tell me what type of uniforms they have on. They don't play the nike circuit.
The major recruits play on Nike Teams, Nike tournaments and what kind of schools do you think have an easier access to their Nike AAU coaches? Nike Schools.
You don't want UA just ask some maryland fans.
And you definitely don't want Reebok ask Tobias what type of shoes he was wearing when he broke his foot during the McDonalds game.
High schools kids are pretty dumb...Nike isn't that much (if at all) better than Adidas. Yet it's the trendy and more recognized brand so more kids want to buy a pair of shoes with a swoosh on it instead of 3 stripes. I can only speak about shoes, but I must say Adidas are just as good as Nike in that category. I don't own any other equipment from Nike or Adidas...All I need are shoes for running, and honestly New Balance and Asic are far better for that anyway.
