NIL has already begun to get out of hand

I understand the rationale, but I don't think JG got ' a deal' - anyone can make a graphic (and a bad one at that) and slap it on some t-shirts and self promote. I don't see anyone lining up to pay them to rep their product.

he got someone’s company to buy in and he’s awful so what I said before still stands. Money, shirts, hats, cups, whatever.

I like how they said they wanted to make sure it was on and the up&up, yet they appear to have engaged in a contract for service instead of selling NIL rights. LOL
At this point, it comes down to the fact that these players are no longer "amateur" athletes. They'd best be at the top of their game come Saturdays.

You know that’s not what happens.

Yea I do know that’s what happens. When Lebron gets hurt, Sprite doesn’t cut his sponsorship money.

When Brady was hurt, Ugg Boots didn’t take back their money.

When Steph Curry went down, Under Armor didn’t take his money back.

Sponsors can end a deal, or renegotiate, but they aren’t going to take back the money already given.

If by some chance a kid takes money and has a career ending injury they’re going to want money back. They won’t just say “ole well”. They’re expecting them to produce.
Uggghhh yeah just like universities were kicking "retired" players to the curb....

How are they going to collect it? PR nightmare. Completely ruins that companies rep with the school, team, fans. Sue them on some legal grounds of.....?

Expecting them to. But when they don’t, there’s ZERO they can do about it except take that L
