we will have to win the sec tourney to go to the ncaa tourney. we will win 2 more games and get a home nit first round game.

This might be true but in a scenario where we win put and get beat by uk in finals I think we are on the bubble. Im not saying we make it but has a #2 seed in sec ever been left out of ncaa?

well im gonna say for starters a good reason we are on the bubble according to that link is because that article was 6 days ago.

since then we have put up 2 w's, and went from being 13-13(6-6) to 15-13(8-6).

Exactly!!!!!!!!!!!:good!: We need to beat LSU and Vandy, plus a couple in the SEC tourney. I just hope our usual road team doesn't show up at LSU. That could end it.

alabama would have been the #2 last year if there wasnt divisions and they were left out.

they were 20-10(12-4)

the thing that got them the shaft though was...
-the big east got 11 friggin' teams
-their rpi wasnt good
-and they lost 2 of their final 3, not a good last impression

just checked...their rpi was 75 on selection sunday! you can look no further than rpi, as to why they were left out. if tennessee wins the next 2 and a few in the tourney they'll be in the 40's.

that same road team showed up in SCjr unfortuantely, however we were lucky enough that SCjr sucks and it didnt matter.

Them suckers did beat Bama at home.

the team that showed up for SCjr didnt beat Bama at home haha. they looked BAD.

im hoping that maybe our staff and players were just looking past USCjr(then again hopefully not), and that they will come out looking MUCH BETTER @ LSU.

anyone looking for a game to root for right now...

cheer for oregon st over oregon of FSN right now...

the ducks are trying to get in, and are 1 of the first teams out. this loss would really hurt their chances, and would also make it realistic that the Pac 12 could get just ONE team in. that in itslef helps tennessees chances, the more at-large available, the better our chances of getting one.

Maybe I said that wrong.
USCjr beat Alabama at columbia.
Point being , they can get up for a challenge.

oh i know. just like uga whooped florida, the sec is crazy outside of UK. i was just saying the SCjr team last night was pretty bad.

We are in the NCAA tourney if we win the last two and one in the tourney. Book it!
Tennessee would have won 9 of last 11 games. 10-6 regular season SEC against the strongest teams.

I agree..that puts our rpi in the 50s...just not sure we can beat LSU on the road..That's a huge game to determine our chances

CBI tourney or collegeinsider.com tourney are still options if the NIT snubs us just saying. Any would be better than our season prediction of 11th in SEC.Still say fight for NCAA till eliminated from possibility which is SEC tourney then press for NIT and if snubbed there take whoever offers. Cut some kind of nets down.

I feel like as lomg as we split the last 2 games we will get a home game in the NIT. Reason I say this is because we are 5th in the nation in attendance and the higher ranked teams will be in the tourney. Most NIT games I have watched didn't draw much of a crowd besides the Mid-majors. I am sure the NIT makes money off their tournament so they will want us to host at least one game to draw in the fans and $. I may be wrong about this but the lower seed hosts the 1st round game then the lower seeded team hosts the higher seed until they get to the final four. So if we get a 4 seed we should get to host 2 games. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Let's take a look at the LSU game closer: LSU stats below
Offense
Season Stats Rank
Points/G 65.7 230
Field Goal % 40.8 293
3-Point % 31.4 282
Free Throw % 70.0 139
Rebounds/G 37.2 51
Full Statistics
Defense
Season Stats Rank
Points/G 63.1 78
Field Goal % 41.2 86
3-Point % 31.5 64
Free Throw % 68.1 129
Rebounds/G 32.8 268

LSU is very beatable. They play more of a half court game and will not pressure Tennessee into force turnovers. Now,UT can not turn the over 21 times for sure. If we protect the basketball we will win this game.
