That bottom line is one of the stupidest post ive seen in awhile wow.imo the only way we dont go to the nit is bc we are in the big dance.
You must be on one of those rushes right now. We'll see who is right in a couple of weeks. This team is one game over .500 and will not make the NCAA at that .500 level. Too inconsistent but dream on if you like.........
I still can't believe just how many posts you have in so little time, bTNo. Wow.
I say the NIT is most likely. The NCAA is possible with a strong finish, but it's still fairly unlikely. Next year should be a great year for Tennessee hoops, though.
nope i work a job, but i only am required to work about 30 hours a week and get paid for atleast 40. take it up with the federal government, not my fault.
and no i dont need to try EHarmony, my fiance' is actually sitting right beside me
btw she said she thinks your a troll
In the past, NIT teams were selected in consultation with ESPN, the television home of the NIT. The goal of the NIT was to sustain the MIBA financially. Therefore, schools selected to play in the NIT were often major conference teams with records near .500 that had large television fan bases and would likely have a respectable attendance for tournament games on their home court.
The NCAA announced a revamped selection process starting with the 2006 tournament. The main highlights are:
Teams are no longer required to have .500 or greater records to receive bids. Even with this change, however, all teams receiving invitations for the NIT have had .500 or greater records.
Similar to the automatic bids the NCAA Tournament grants for all conference tournament champions, all teams that won regular-season conference championships but failed to earn NCAA tournament bids are guaranteed places in the NIT.
Post padding the zone???
Unaware of the meaning...
We have 6 more regular season games remaining and then we play in the S.E.C. tournament. Should we get 5 more wins, to reach an 18 win season, then add in the fact that UConn, Florida at home and Florida away, were quality wins, we will get in the NCAA.
If we barely miss getting in to the NCAA, say with 17 wins, rather than 18 wins, then I see us going to the NIT.
All of the remaining games in our schedule are winnable games; including the Vandy game, at TBA.
If Mc & Mc (McBee & McRae) continue to be 3 point threats and we have no injuries or suspensions, then I see no reason for us to not get in the NCAA as a 16th seed.
