Exactly. I'd say somewhere between 8-12 if we make it, just depending in how we finish. No way though do they get a 16 haha. Can you imagine the reaction duke would have if they drew us the first round haha.

If we did win say 5 or 6 SEC games left; maybe the NIT but we have not won that many all year and I frankly think it's too much to ask now.

Bottom Line: We aren't going to either dance this year but there is more hope for next year that I didn't see up until Stokes starting playing.

The OP posed the question about our NIT odds. Now it's clear that we're a cinch to qualify for that field.

We're better than the NIT, though. imho

It's my opinion that we're in the NIT, obviously, but only have a shot for the NCAA tourney IF we make it to the SEC championship game AND put up a good fight in it...we don't have to win it imo (unless we lose to Vanderbilt here soon) if we lose to Vandy we have to win the SEC. That's just my speculation...

We're in the NIT. I saw a projection this morning that has us as a 3 seed in the NIT

We're legitimately in the discussion for an NIT #1 seed right now (although more likely a 2 or 3). If we lose to both Vanderbilt and South Carolina, we might be right back on the NIT bubble, but I think we'd still squeak in. Win either of those games and it's a lock.

I know it would NEVER happen, but man would I love for that to happen. We are a tough team for any team. Thst shows even more now that we just came back from a fifteen point deficit on the road and that team had an opera singer for free throws. Lol.

if we beat Vandy we are gonna end up tied for 2nd or 3rd in the entire SEC... We will get the NIT and probably the NCAA if we can pull it off.
