The reason is that not everyone wants to donate their money to fund NIL opportunities for college athletes. Heck, half the people complaining about there not being enough people contributing aren’t contributing themselves.

With inflation, people have less disposable income.

No matter how much money it donated, the coaching staff directs Sprye to extend the offer to each player. It is only a bidding war if the staff wants to engage. We as supporters just have to make sure the money is available. I have full faith, that the UT department can call certain supporters to get whatever money is needed to get a player if we want. My hope is that we are not getting certain players because we set a limit for that player or position.
