Jordan Young. Went to FSU and did nothing for 3 years then transferred to FAU for a year and continued doing nothing. 19 career recs, 220 yds, 1 TD.

I was disappointed when he bailed on us, but then he was exactly what his original ranking said he was.

Yep and his decommitment led us to taking the commitment from another lowly ranked three star - Cedric Tillman (had offers from UNLV, Hawaii at the time). Kind of funny how luck plays a role in everything.

I can see that if you just want to look at one side. What’s more likely though. This guy goes all year, through his HS season, just completely unnoticed by ALL the major universities until JUST now? Or the teams offering him this late have just struck out on so many targets that he happens to be a fall back option?

I mean I think if you used common sense you would land on the latter.

Dude this literally happens every year. There are over a million high school football players graduating this year and good players go unnoticed.

Not sure what kind of competition he played against, but he had some pretty gaudy stats in just 7 games this year…

From what I can tell, Irvington is ranked 40th in the state overall. And he had 8 TFLs against Union City, who finished ranked 20th overall in the state. Irvington has 3 other players currently committed to power 5 schools. Not sure how many overall have D1 offers.

I don't "follow" him on twitter, but he's tweeting (or Xing😊) a ton today.
Asked him last year what he thought about a big get…I think Arion Carter…and he said he doesn’t follow recruiting. Then he’s tweeting on the Reedy sidelines after Max Anderson commits.

This is a completely wasted scholarship spot. Instead we should be looking at guys like Nolen and Fadill. Not some unranked Kent State commit.
You speak with unwarranted certitude. This kid could very well end up being a 2nd round pick. That said, I agree that the trend is concerning. Feels like we’re striking out a lot.

Jenkins is not going to be a factor next year. What a bad take
I guess you don't know much about his development since he's been here. Not only will he play, his teammates in the room say he's a DUDE and will be one of the impact players next season. Very similar talk in that room about Caleb Herring. It's the same type of talk that was being said inside the program about James Pearce last year.

Who said they did? Look at the timing of the offer. Common sense should kick in at some point.
WOW, hard to believe you include the use of common sense in analyzing anything related to UT recruiting. It obviously finishes way behind meeting arrogant agenda pushing objectives in your offerings. The frequency of your repackaging of themes is a real giveaway. Too many on here suffer from the if you say it enough it must be true syndrome. It might be prudent to see how high these players decisions are on the OMG meter as EVIDENCED by staff, collective and directed peer recruiting follow-up efforts before casting stones. Not all MISSES are created equal.

Had not heard that. Good to hear.
