The Yanks did try to use him as a starter... perhaps the Phils realized that was an error.

And I agree, the NL is a much more "pitcher friendly" environment.

Man, it looked to me like the Reds got screwed by that call at 2nd.

And the Phils take the lead with the next batter.

Jay Bruce made a Granderson/Holliday-esque play, but Rolen can't hit, made an absolutely retarded throw and on top of all of it decides that he has no interest in appealing what looked like a pretty clear cut case of the runner missing third. Change any one of those three and this was likely a different ball game.

Welcome to the other Scott Rolen I tried to tell you about in august. When he's on he's great but when he gets on one of his moods he's better off at home.
