no heisman winner talk

On top of all that the voters don't even know what they are voting for anymore!

Is it best player in football?
Is it most valuable player?
s it the guy with the biggest stats?
Nobody knows...

Yep, they're definitely divided. That's why the margin of victory for Mariota was one of the biggest in the history of the award.

Not a fan of the Heisman award so I don't really care who wins it anymore. I would be happy about a Vol winning it, but other than I don't give a damn. Pretty much goes to the QB with the best stats on a contender.

Mariota was great, but most QBs at Oregon put up big stats (not Masoli). What WR puts up numbers like Cooper in Saban's system? Against the best defensive athletes in the country? With a bad leg injury, no less. To me, he was the most outstanding player.

Besides, who was the last quarterback to win the Heisman that had long-term success in the NFL? I personally don't see Manziel or RGIII having long term success, if any

Typically Heisman winners don't have long term NFL success.

Not sure what that has to do with guys like Charlie Ward, Danny Wuerffel, Johnny Manziel and a host of others being the nation's best college football player in a given year.

Interesting stat.

Manning has thrown double digit INTs in 16 of his 17 seasons.

Brady has done it 9 times in his 13 seasons.

Rodgers has done it only 2 times in his 7 seasons as a starter.
