Twist my words will you? I'm just saying it played a factor. His mom basically stated that she didn't like what was said about her baby boy and I believe it was a small factor. There wasn't ,a clan involved just Theresa Witherspoon taking up for her little boy, like most any mother would do. If you want to live in a fantasy land and not believe recruits read these boards,go ahead, but in the days of these prima donnas they get their feelings hurt easily.:shakehead:

Making the elite eight probably saved his job. I guess that is a no brainer. Dooley would be gone.

I totally agree! Now let's go out and back Bruce and the basketball team once the team starts the season.:dance2::clapping::salute::eek:k:. I'd like to see the Vols in the "Elite 8" this year. I think it's possible if this team can play as good as the last 2 have been.:thumbsup:

Pretty sure getting one screen name banned and coming back with another runs afoul of the rules. Get yourself in compliance, then worry about everyone else. At least you're following your hero's lead and acting as if the rules apply to everyone else.

If anyone reads Mike Griffith's twitter, he wrote that Pearl said message board chatter "got to 2 of his recruits" and that "a few UT fan's are taking down own program" Seriously, you might not think recruits read this stuff, but they do so STOP.

exsactly..this is why i started this thread. we use it to get information about what is going on with the program.....AND SO DO recruits...

we need to stay possitive and show the bruce pearl love.....I want bruce coaching this team till he desides to retire and we are going to build him the pearly gates entering thompson bowling area.....:thumbsup:

Bottom line, is we are all here (save a few trolls) because we have love for UT. Do we get upset when our school/programs are wronged? Of course(coarse*) we do, whether that is from an outsider, or someone inside the program. Just because some of us vent more than others does not mean that we do not want the kids to come here. Geesh...

We are here because we want to see our program succeed, we want to talk about our program, and we each seem to have our own vision of which way to get there. I don't troll other sites, but I imagine its not that much different among rival fan bases.

Go Vols!!!

I didn't realize that these boards had such great influence on recruiting. Perhaps more now than ever, since we can't recruit off campus.
