I think the point is that the behavior of antifa/blm in 2020 never received this treatment from the left. In fact it was egged on and encouraged. However when anything similar is done by the right it's immediately meet with cries of sedition and the perpetrator are hunted down. I think many would just love to have the hypocrisy explained

Left or right it shouldn't be condoned. I thought it was wrong then, I think its wrong now and the people that are blowing this off aren't any better than those blowing it off this summer.

But the people who encouraged it this summer are now even higher in power. The highest offices in the land are occupied by those who encourage destruction and violence from some and tag others as traitors to be imprisoned. 81 million people voted for them to take those offices. We as citizens have a real problem with that if you believe in equal protection

I don't condone any politician calling for violence and it doesn't excuse the people in Portland or the ones in the Capitol.

That’s you and that’s perfectly fine. The problem is that outlets like CNN, MSNBC, and, yes, Fox News as well aren’t just providing facts anymore. They’re not reporting news, they’re peddling opinion as fact and not giving both sides of the coin. For someone like you that will take the time to research things on their own it doesn’t matter but a lot of people literally just listen to CNN or Fox or whoever and don’t bother to see if what they’re being told is actually true. I can absolutely see how someone wouldn’t like Trump but it would be nice if people didn’t like him because of things he does and says rather than things the MSM claims he does and says. Those are certainly not the same.

I’m not saying they don’t. They’re all spinning some kind of narrative. I believe CNN and MSNBC were more egregious with Trump in office but I’d venture to guess Fox will be under Biden.

Agree. Rachel Maddow gave trump hell. Gotta admit she knows politics and totally understand the right hating her. I try to be objective, but trump...like nixon put me over the edge.

People died then too and not just people party to those riots. Take that kid at the Wendy’s in Atlanta. Sad. All of the rioters breaking the law on both sides have been stupid.

All those people are there for are to fan the flames. The problem is the fire is already pretty hot right now so it’s starting to turn to violent acts from both sides. Politicians aren’t trying to fix anything either because then what would they use as a platform?

I'm an old guy. Degree in Political Science. Spent a lot of time in DC in the late 60's and early 70's protesting Nixon and the war. Experienced a lot of heads getting bashed(mainly nazis...LMAO). And got roughed up a few times at George Wallace rallies. And now...I fear for my country.

Just so you know I fixed a typo in my prior post. I don’t think you took it as a slight against you but I adjusted it to be more clear.

Anyway, a few months ago I found myself wondering if folks like Levin, Limbaugh, Maddow, and Lemon were just slinging a bunch of hyperbole but things just seem to keep escalating. Some of it is because of the MSM sensationalism on both sides but I don’t think it is just that at this point. We will certainly find out with the Dems in complete control. I’m of the camp that thinks it’s best not to have either party in complete control.
