Corso_"NOT SO FAST" She's been a thorn is our ass.MSST can't defend inside. Carter is the weakest 6'5 post player in the country defensively. She might as well be 5'5. Guards know they can go right at her time after time and she can't do anything about it. Cooks seems lazy. Plus, they are a terrible rebounding team.
With as much talent as she has on this team, it's clear Nikki is in the bottom half of the league in.coaching talent.
I'm a SC fan but I don't care for that guy's comment one bit. It was unnecessary. Mighty pitiful to try & tell fans how to act & think on their own forum. Trust, not all SC fans act that way.why cant SC fans find their own forum to hang out at....it's annoying reallyView attachment 339240

Saylor Poffenbarger has graduated from High school and is enrolled at UConn. After a 10 day quarantine she is available for the team.

Personally I think she might be ahead of Ducharme. Their games are so much alike. She's been out of the limelight because of flexor surgery and ESPN typically drops players who have to take a break from playing. Fudd being an exception.Smart girl. She will need all the help she can get with Ducharme and Fudd coming in next year and likely ahead of her on the depth chart, so the opportunity to get used to the UConn system will help her with playing time next year.

Wow...she is pretty much a Top 10 recruit (ESPN is the outlier) available for February and March. Damn, if she can get up to speed and contribute, she could be their missing piece, a tall long range shooter. Sigh.....the rich get richer.
I don't know what Geno is expecting, but the fans are hyped she might be the solution to our long range shooting woes. As a team they are shooting 34% and that includes Paige at 11/22.She's not gonna be doing anything this year except getting to learn the system and practicing with the team...that's my guess. Same as the girl who just joined at MSST. It gives them the leg-up against the other incoming freshmen, and they will still have 4 full years to play along with the 1 semester of "orientation".
It's hard enough for an incoming freshman to come in over the summer and have 6 solid months of practice before the season starts. The chances of her coming in, picking up the UConn system while the season is going on around her, and being able to become a rotation player is slim/none IMO.I don't know what Geno is expecting, but the fans are hyped she might be the solution to our long range shooting woes. Top players have a chance. She is considered Top ten in most sites. But you are certainly correct about the odds not being good. I think that's an unusual situation with the shortage of players.. UConn has their fair share of wings that have been with the program since the season started, so it seems unlikely that Saylor would be able to pick things up so quickly that she would leap over some of the other players.UCLA has a player who just did this and she has been playing a lot. They are very short handed due to injuries and two Aussies not being able to get over here though.
True and Geno's read and react offense is tough to get. But she has a couple of edges in that she has a very high basketball IQ in that her parents are coaches and she brings a unique skill set that is in short supply at UConn right now. She can jump over the bottom 4 or 5 players pretty quickly and be a 7 in the typical rotation. It may come down to if she can get her defensive jobs tight enough.I think that's an unusual situation with the shortage of players..
