Kellie has taken some things she has learned from Pat but she isn't trying to coach or run the same sets Pat ran.

Based on the rankings of the recruits that ND has, they should not be struggling the way they are. I also suspect that there will likely be a few transfers out at the end of the year.

Nell can coach some basketball. Whether or not she can recruit and retain players will decide her fate at Ga Tech. They have played well at times this season. NC State also beat them in their head to head matchup.

They are technically 3rd but 2 games back from Louisville compared to 2.5 for Nc State. Another strange occurrence due to the different number of games teams have played.

Nell is a damn good head coach but i don't think she will be at GT in the long term because of her age. I think what GT should hope for is that she leaves the program in very good shape for the next head coach.

I think you’re exactly right. Believe that was why they hired her. Get the culture turned around and then they can hire a quality replacement and Nell can retire again.

Same. I think NC State is the best team in that league this season. If Cunane had not gone down with COVID they would be in a better spot. Getting their rhythm back now.

I’m not convinced Louisville is any tougher than we are. Outside of Evans they don’t have anyone who can make a play against quality teams consistently. Kianna Smith is a really nice player but she’s still a no show occasionally.

Van Lith is not the answer. Since they hit stiffer competition her numbers have dropped. Against an athletic defender she is not able to create her own shot at this point. Ends up shooting some wild shot that careens off the backboard. Have seen her do that on numerous occasions now. They played an extremely weak schedule to start which boosted her confidence. She’s been all over the board since they started playing some decent teams.

Yes. Cunane is normally much more physical. In that first game back I thought she looked skinny and pale. She was toughing it out but did not look 100%. She’s their emotional leader as well. When Louisville went on a run late in the game the other day she was the one who stopped it. Scored a few times and pumped her teammates up ending any chance of a Louisville comeback in that game.

Yea that’s a slap in the face but it should just provide motivation for her. I have a feeling she won’t make the all defensive team again although she changes the way teams go to the rim

Key started the season slowly and her playing time indicated a disconnect with the coaches. The reason why I've always remained high on UT's chances to beat anyone though is the overall team defense and size and Key is a big part of that.

What I wonder about Brunell is why having played 333 minutes this season she hasn't taken one foul shot not one she is 0 for 0 from the line and Notre Dame has a problem of getting to the line very many times as a team. I figure they are on their way back need some players that can give them an inside game. They do have some capable shooters but their games are mostly perimeter not much ability for any of the current starters or bench to score inside.

Kellie was the correct hire and i agree we you but remember Ivey has three players out for the season and no post player. 5-11 Jr guard Katlyn Gilbert, Fr 6-3 Amirah Abdur-Rahim, 6-5 Fr Natalija Marshall. I would add 6-3 Sr Mikayla Vaughn to that list because she is pretty much a day to day player. She has battle a knee injury from her Freshmen year at ND ACL 2 or 3. And like everyone else you are entitled to your opinion and we all agree to disagree. Like i said KJH has the lady vols going in the right direction.

i also remember Muffett Mcgraw winning a national championship with like 7 players because of ACL injuries.

I do know her team has been hit with injuries but like with Brunelle something seems off. Maybe doesn’t fit her style as much as muffett although i am pretty sure she was in on recruiting her too.

With Ali Pattberg, Danielle Patterson, and Jordan Nixon all transferring that was some help she could have used!

Last week every ESPN ACC game announcer said after they beat Syracuse they should be in the top 25 well so much for that they lost to Wake on sunday at home.

Casual observation to me is that ND is severely lacking inside players. Vaughn has been injury plagued, Cosgrove took the season off, and the freshman is injured. I don't know if they even have a backup post player. When Muffet had her back to back title game runs, she may have been short on post players, but the two she did have were AA caliber ones
