They didn't shoot as well for whatever reason. They turned the ball over more for whatever reason. We tried to play man to man which most of the top teams can butcher cause they easily find you weak links. Most of those big East teams are zoning them and that helps your weak players. It’s crazy how UCONN only won by 10 against a team like Providence and we lost to then by 17.
The crazy part is that the ACC doesn't even deny it happened. They just state they have no evidence and FSU has remained silent. The balls were switched at the half. Why would the ref do that if there wasn't a problem? The good news is that the ball will now be checked by players before the game, so it doesn't happen again.
I think the game against Tennessee took a lot out of them, mentally as well as physically. They had to dig down deep to come back against Villanova, and were really out of it at Providence, a team they beat by 30 earlier. They really aren't much better now, and the SC game could be ugly. They may start out well, but fatigue against a team so deep will catch up to them. It’s crazy how UCONN only won by 10 against a team like Providence and we lost to then by 17.
MTSU lost both games this week. I checked their box score today and as a team shot 54 3's. More 3's attempted then UTSA took total and still lost the game. Weird to have 29 more shot attempts and still lose.
It's playing 5 players for 5 games in 12 days. they looked so exhausted they couldn't walk out of the gym. The Tennessee game was a big part of that with the emotional stress on top of the physical. the next two games they were going through the motions. I am imaging they will be like lambs to the slaughter in the fourth quarter Sunday. Staying with SC when everyone is rested is one thing but to play five exhausted players is too much. As usual, I just hope no one gets hurt. It’s crazy how UCONN only won by 10 against a team like Providence and we lost to then by 17.
There will be a minimum of 8 players available to Uconn…..if they only are playing 5 then that is their problem for not recruiting players that can contribute in February. It's playing 5 players for 5 games in 12 days. they looked so exhausted they couldn't walk out of the gym. Those three apparent misses are now in focus, which was my point about this game. They have the right players, 4 All Americans sitting on the bench with injuries. The players that are available off the bench are a 6'5" post player that contributes nothing, a freshman post that is not up to speed and a last minute guard recruited when Bueckers went down. She was headed for a JC when recruited.
Rixxx,Rooster, I think you know that starters are injured and sitting on the bench, maybe 50 points. Your statement is kind of harsh.
