Execpt all the other years she is loaded with 5 star players and she can't coach. It was one game and they not winning the Big Ten this year after all. Were you saying that a couple weeks ago when Clark put 42 on them?

It’s laughable someone would say Brenda Freeze can’t coach. Her record speaks for itself.

UConn loss to St Johns should take them off the one seed line for good I would think. That is five losses this season. I know LSU may have their schedule flaws etc. but if they are going to be such highly seeded Net team with just one loss looks like they might get that one seed.

If LSU did take the last #1 spot, and Uconn is the top ranked #2 team we could see that matchup. I’d definitely watch that game. Not sure why LSU would jump to a 1 seed just yet, Maryland has 3 top ten wins, LSU has played one top ten team and got beaten badly, they have not beaten a current ranked opponent all season. Right now, I’d seed the top 8 like this:

Ind
Stan
Md (beat Uconn and 3 top 10’s)
LSU (will know more after SECT)
Uconn (beat Iowa)
Iowa (a 30 pt loss, 6 total losses)
Utah (for now, keep an eye on ND)

I‘m not enamored with LSU’s fancy looking W-L record…..sorry but the OOC schedule does matter. Crème said on Twitter LSU goes to a 1 now because Md “only” has 3 top ten wins…was he drinking?

Can ya'll believe the horror show with Alabama men's team? One already arrested as accessory to capital murder and turns out another player brought the murder weapon to the bar at 2 a.m., texted the alleged accessory where it was and that it was loaded, and allegedly used his car (which had bullet holes in the windshield) to block the car in which a young mother was murdered - for not accepting unwanted advances.

Coaches reaction? Poor kid (their one and done star) was in "wrong spot at wrong time". Said the school has always known the second players role and "he's not in trouble, did nothing wrong". AND as a response to the murder, brought in RAY EFFING LEWIS to talk to about it!!! Not someone to talk about the decision making, but an athlete who previously murdered!! Player still playing, Bama fans defending!!! Completely sickening.

Rick Barnes can't coach offense much better than Kellie Harper, but I thank God the U of T has him.

Also, this gun fetish culture ya'll . . .

Maryland lost to Nebraska by 23, Depaul by 9, and to Iowa by 14 the first time they played. I can agree that LSU hasn't played enough good teams as well. So maybe UConn stays the last number one as the backup crew all have a lot of faults meaning the number two seeds.

I think it’s enticing for women’s basketball, and for the conference that UCONN is in for them to get beat by teams in that league. The parity on the women’s game is getting better and better. Aside from SC, this year at least, the field is wide open. Even for SC, they don’t look unbeatable. They are certainly beatable, just have to be confident and have a good game plan of execution for them.

Without a bench it is really starting to show UConn is in real trouble and the committee needs to take notice i think.

Plus the bench they got back may have hurt them in the game last night Ducharme 1 for 11 that is ten empty possessions from their bench player.

And with her at one point in the 2nd Ducharme was hit in the head by accident going after a rebound. And she started holding her head on the way up the court.

Again??? Where are her parents?!? This happened in the game Saturday and she had to have an ice pack to the back of the neck. I was stunned they put her back in without a concussion exam, after she just came out of the protocol. What in the world is UConn thinking? Maybe they've been hit in head.

LSU should not get that final 1 seed spot. They are a good team who has taken care of business despite the bad schedule but to me to earn that 1 seed, they need much better quality wins. I would have them at the late 2 seed or 3 seed line. If they would have beaten SC on the road I may have gotten on board with it.

At some point you have to take into account the schedules and not look strictly at wins and losses. I’m not trying to dog LSU as it’s hard enough as it is to still reach this point with one loss (as evidence by many other ranked teams with losses to unranked ones). We would be sending a very bad message if they do get a one seed from it. If anything, watch for many other programs to follow this route schedule wise for job security and other artificially inflated seeding come tournament time
