Anyone watch the women's Nike Hoops Summit today? Sure looks like LSU got the best player in the class with Mikaylah Williams who led the USA team with 22 points (6-7 from three) to a 100-79 win over the World team.

She reminds me so much of Maya Moore. I bet she’ll be a day one starter, and likely the SEC and NFOY.

I saw her pregame interview at the McDonald’s AA game last month, and tbh she is the most humble and respectful young lady I have heard speak in a long while. For some reason (stupid in hindsight) I was expecting brash, and or some combination of cocky and alpha type personality. Quite the opposite, very well grounded, extremely polite and well raised. Her “faith and family” foundation is genuine, you almost couldn’t do better raising a child.

She will indeed most likely be SEC FOY and compete for National FOY, she is just that good. It’s not difficult looking down the road a year or two and seeing her compete for AA status.

Darth, in this particular case there was good fortune involved for LSU as she was the homegrown girl who stayed home. As for her game, when I watch her play I see a lot of Morrow in her game but she also has a very accurate shot all the way out to three land.

Vandy is trying to bring some size in obviously. Wonder how the younger Makurat sister is?

Ralph has realized they aren’t going to be able to compete in the SEC with Big East size. Surprised they haven’t been more active in the portal. They have 3 transferring out and 3 out of eligibility.

Leaves them with 5 returners and 5 freshman. None of whom has proven anything. Their grad transfers kept them in some games this season but I believe both Garraud and Harbison are gone unless I’m mistaken?

Yeah, when I realized what the skit was about to be I had high hopes. I wanted to like it, and it certainly wasn't among the worst they've ever done. But it did fall pretty flat. Punkie kept trying to sell it, but the audience wasn't buying it.

They could have gone all out and had some fun with it, but that was just bad. Flat and unfunny. Very lazy imo

Yep, that's modern SNL for you - risk averse. The worst thing for a comedy show to be. Inoffensive, insipid, uninterested in challenging expectations. And very, very unfunny.

Just like that "skit."

Oh my. Not just flat, unfunny and lazy but very unnecessary and sad. Ya'll know I'm no Angel fan but this is just brutal. Took less than a week for Angel's 15 minutes to run the cycle from culture warrior to absolute joke. She's only 20, probably did not see the inevitability of this outcome. If only she'd had a responsibile adult, say a media savvy coach, to help her hone her message in a way that would have avoided her becoming a punchline.

So much for the alleged enhanced positive awareness of WBB. Anyone still think this whole episode was "good for the game?"
