I can absolutely see why Madison Scott is first team. Her running point as a PF and leading her team to 3rd in the SEC was an overachievement. Davis is good too and an argument could be made that she should have been 2nd team, but Scott was well deserving.

Correa did get 6th player of the year. I think it was down to her and Watkins. When was the last time a bench player led the league in scoring?

Not sure why people are getting worked up over the awards. It seems about as expected with how the season progressed. Unless they are disappointed that all the great Tennessee freshmen didn't make the list. Oh wait...

The votes should be made public. Big 10 does media and coaches…

No you would be surprised at how little coaches think of other teams or watch them if it’s not their upcoming game.

Kellie in an interview before Vandy said she hasn’t watched them since our first game.. like every other coach

General speaking, I’ve found the coaches awards to be more credible than the media just because of exposure. I’m sure Kellie’s picks were very sensible.

I think that someone like Aja Petty played herself out of consideration due to fading down the stretch. The All SEC teams tend to be biased towards players on teams who have done well in addition to stats. All Defensive and All Freshman most years seem to be a challenge to find enough players to fill these teams, but this year seemed deeper than most other years.

I still think the award should be limited to five players per team like the AP awards. Otherwise, it gets quite diluted

They literally have been shoving her down our throats for about 2 weeks now, it seems like they want to push and promote her so that’s what their doing.

That was a really good game with probably their best, most evenly matched rosters. I think that was when UConn lost a bunch of players to injuries by the end of the season and the Chamique played her worst game of her career in the E8 loss to Duke. She really should have finished with 4 NCs…
