Disappointing. Every season I get excited, and this year I just gave up. AD Bubba Cunningham has raised alarms about NIL funding disproportionately going to men’s basketball and football at the expense of women’s sports. I just don’t know that there is a university commitment to firing Banghart and/or moving beyond where they are now.

So we could finish 7th or 8th in conference and not make past the 2nd round of anything cause that's where Dukes program has been since Kara took over. I think they finished 4th last year, and were booted in the second round on the tournament but had 7 High school All Americans and on paper should have won the ACC. There is no logic to your statement.

She had 7 All Americans on last year's team at Duke. How you gonna fill a roster up much more. The key is putting them in position to be successful and that didn't happen. Not only that,
a few of their better players left because of the offensive woes. FYI, Pat's teams generally consisted of 5-7 All Americans.

Wish Strong the best & a great collegiate career. Highly unlikely she will win a title at UNC or Duke. It's possible at UConn but will Geno be there 4 more years? Who knows.

After all this time & now she's down to 3 schools. I know it was just speculation but highly doubtful that a "disagreement" on the court caused her to drop both LSU & SC. & IF that was the case I hope she never makes that public. Basketball isn't always roses & daisies baby.

Wish her the best except when she plays SC or any other SEC team for that matter. If a little confrontation by an opponent scares you away then you will get eaten alive in this league.

Tell yourself what you need to, and maybe it didn't influence Strong's decision. But that crap was embarassing and classless on both sides. Fans jumping onto the court, sucker shoves, mugging and bumping for clear provocation, are way more than a "little confrontation". Yes Dawn handled it in a classy manner unlike Crazy Aunt Matilda, but that was far from an acceptable example of SEC play.

If it is, all the more reason to stay far, far away.

That may be true but it’s my opinion she would be more synonymous as a LV coach than the current coach and get better players than the ones she got at Duke and would be in the thick of a title chase

I’m sure all of the AA’s will avoid playing for CDS in the future because of the LSU game, her long and distinguished coaching career be damned. You are probably right, this is the beginning of the end for the SC program.

Never said anything close to that. But that was ugly and disgusting on both sides and playing it off as just another day at the ball park misses the mark by a mile. But ya'll go ahead and do that.

Never been prouder of our program and players who had a million times more class in a million times tougher situation. The optics speak for themselves.

It was a 1 time thing. I think we can both agree that the SC team as a whole carries themselves professionally on & off the court.

If some think that will impact the SC program on the recruiting side or whatever is just foolish. Dawn and her program don't get down like that. She holds her team and the program to a high stander on and off the court.

Don't know about recruiting but it definitely reinforces some already existing national perceptions of the SEC as a wrestling match waiting for a game to break out around it. Not everyone likes to play that way.

IMO basketball in general has to get a hold on the wrestling match in the post. The riding, the pushing, etc has gotten way out of hand. Don't want to foul them all out, but it has to get reined in.

This is on the refs they are the ones that need to take control of the game.

It is. I hope paint wrestling will be a point of emphasis in the near future. But players and teams are still responsible for how they react to it. Most manage to control themselves in spite of the frustration.

It's over and i don't think it hurts SC in anyway Dawn said she would address it with her team and she did.
