Because clicks and likes for anti heroes are just as valuable as those for positive role models. Sad but true. Talk about me good or talk about me bad, just talk about me. LSU has set themselves up as wrestling type villians. Strange mission for an institution of higher learning, but there we are.If players aren't role models, then why are companies and content producers paying big bucks to athletes to hawk their products?
lol Rebecca and her Elf! and yes, So Car “fams” on Twitter really are that easily offended. You wouldn’t believe.
Mulkey, pre-publication: I will straight up sue the Washington Post into oblivion, just because I canSo the "hit piece" on Mulkey drops an hour before their S16 game. Turns out the woman whose trademark is being a giant ahole is indeed a giant ahole. As I suspected, this is just further detail on everything we already knew. This probably makes sure the world at large is aware, not just the WBB community. Definitely designed for max reputional damage to KM. Even goes into details of her divorce.
The actual article is still behind a paywall. Here's a summary:
LSU's Kim Mulkey's controversial coaching style detailed in Washington Post story
The LSU Lady Tigers head coach was the subject of a lengthy feature from the Washington Post. Here's what to know about the story.www.usatoday.com

Mulkey, post-publication: I won’t even read the Post article but instead will yell about the LA Times.
Fired? You are such as idiot. Lobo is a very good analyst, and if she isn't doing UConn games what is the issue? You can find any small bias in any ex-player. Do you think Peck isn't bias for any SEC team? They do their best, and if they were really bias they would be let go. I know you, you just feed on everybody else's opinion. I guess you would think that all the commentators should be Peck, Vargus, and Parker. I don't like any of them, but I don't complain about them. It is what it is, and I'm not bias about SEC people because I love Andrea Carter. She is excellent and probably the best of the bunch.Literally nobody can stand Lobo aside from UCONN fans. She has no business calling other teams games. She cannot remain objective. If she calls UConn games and they aren’t playing well she literally freezes because she’s so mad and says hardly anything the entire broadcast.
She should be their in house person like Doris was/is and ESPN should fire her.
After she lied on air about voting for Rickea I was laughing hysterically. Just own it! But she can’t lol
She's capable of being extremely mean-spirited and cruel.Indeed.. Very disturbing. How can a person who makes $7 million a year let her Father live in a trailer,?
Tennessee fans complain about Peck all the time lol. Says she compliments other team too much, newsflash her job is too be a color commentator and in studio.Fired? You are such as idiot. I mean, of course it hurt the young Kim to find out her father had cheated on her mother and then left them. That happens all the time to lots of people, and while that does hurt and is wrong, it's beyond cruel to punish someone for it for literally the rest of their life, especially as he has tried for decades to beg forgiveness and has only been completely ignored as if he were dead to her. She is sick beyond belief. Gawd.
True. But I keep thinking it is highly unlikely she would have wanted him to walk her down the aisle on her wedding day if there had been anything seriously dark or sick about her father. What broke the camel's back for her is that Kim did not want her father's new wife (or gf -- I don't remember now) sitting down front. Kim wanted the woman to sit in the back row, as far away from her and her mother as possible. And when her father didn't want to make her do that, that was when Kim decided her father was dead to her. It has been, what, 40 years? And she still can't get past that? Yikes.Wouldn’t pretend we know all the details of that relationship. Parent/child estrangement is not uncommon. If there is no relationship generally there is a dang good reason why. Him abandoning his family may be the least of it so far as we know.

You missed your own sublimated point. Just talk about me. Intentional or not, it works.Because clicks and likes for anti heroes are just as valuable as those for positive role models. Sad but true. Worse thing about it all is how racialized it has become. Though many have used it that way, it was never, ever about race.
I don't know. He made his choices. Why would you want someone in your life that repeatedly chooses someone else over you? At that point, it was clear the new woman was the priority. He chose her twice. I see no problem with cutting him out. Why set yourself up for that type of disappointment over and over.True. I see far greater problems with how she runs her program. She is definitely an effective winning is everything coach, but that comes with a great amount of collateral relationship damage. While her players are adults, they are young and often vulnerable and sometimes do not realize the consequences of their choices. I think she is hard for us to stomach because Pat made it her responsibility to develop her girls into whole, well adjusted people. In our eyes, that is the only standard.
Moral of the story, when someone shows you who they are, believe them!
A lot of coaches hide the dirtier, unforgiving side of themselves and their programs. Her Mulkey, at least kids and their families are shown what they are getting (although many don't seem to be able to see it clearly) and if they only want to win, she is a great option.
To me, the real work is in helping these young kids/recruits see situations for what they are, so they can make informed decisions that factor in the "unforeseen" consequences of their chI thought the piece was not a hit job,
Coincidentally, I also like Andrea Carter. My only complaint with her is that when we had our picture taken after a game, she refused to take off her gigantic high heels for the photo. It is what it is, and I'm not bias about SEC people because I love Andrea Carter.
