I suppose you lose your…defecatory material…when someone says that Columbia University, formerly Columbia College, founded as King's College, was founded in 1754.

The institution where Dawn Staley coaches the WBB team was founded in 1801. If the subsequent name changes are challenging for small intellects, that doesn’t alter the relevant dates.

We're not talking about the Institution itself per se, we're talking about the use of "USC". Which it wasn't, in 1801. Again, use SCC if you want.

More Important decisions than concern about logos. WNIT - try selection the winners ?? only two major conference teams in the bracket;
washington and 11-19 Big-Ten bottom feeder Rutgers: and to agree to participate they were allowed a first round bye. Why would Rutgers University given the year of negative publicity including social media want to/ or be allowed to participate?

South Carolina's men's team just turned down a bid to the NIT. I'm glad because a team with a losing record doesn't deserve it.

Great news for college WBB fans. WBB has continued to do well despite the absence of mega-stars Caitlin and Angel. There was a dip in overall tv ratings from last year's exceptional ratings fueled by the astronomic ratings for all of Iowa's games, the dip was relatively smaller than expected and ESPN had an overall gain in ratings for women's basketball games this year compared to last year. The attendance at women's games was one of the best ever, including a record year for the SEC and the 2nd best year for the Big Ten (I guess only beaten by Caitlin's sold-out Senior year).

I'll be so happy when/if elite teams and coaches finally grow up beyond tireder than tired chip on shoulder grievance motivation. 'Disrespect' is overused in sports to the point of being meaningless.

I get that it still works on kids who are by definition still young. but feels silly, lazy, and disingenous esp for super elite coaches who have every advantage. Get a new schtick please.

Why play the toughest schedule in the country as it means nothing?

An easier draw looks like the committee could be making up for the slight?

There's no chip on Dawn's shoulder. She has said all she'll say on the subject. From here on it's down to business for the ass kicking chickens.

Could be that although she enjoyed being in the broadcast booth, being a coach runs deeper. Just speculation but having the success she did at Missouri State and the mixed results at Tennessee, she wants to prove that she is a good coach, if not to others at least to herself.

All sounds right. But just not happening without way more investment than Mizzu has been willing to make so far.

Hopefully they see it as a reset and are willing to invest. Surely Kellie of all people wouldn’t put herself in a bad NIL situation again.
