Non-Lady Vol Basketball News 2024-25

No, mudcat's a good guy and a die-hardVol fan (one and the same thing!). I agree it's newsworthy but not needing a separate thread.

That sound you hear is all the air coming out of the balloon from Kellie's "big win" Sunday...

That's the best you can come up with? If you're really serious about disparaging Kellie, maybe keep googling for better gifs and memes, since that how you enjoy spending your time.

It will probably make the rest of the team better since they have to learn how to play without relying on her all the time. Some others will probably step up.

Honestly Liberty is a really good looking ball club! They have lots of size in the middle. Their 6’5” of the bench is great defensively. She’s a SO but a lot like Tamari as a FR. They have given VTech a lot of trouble in the paint. Kitley is worn out.

The Liberty guards are very patient. They get the right shot on most possessions. They play solid defense and their on ball defense is great. They have given VT guards far more problems than we did the other night.

I agree. Keyen came to us from a solid program, for sure -- the type of program that can be dangerous to an overly confident opponent.

This will be Tina Thompson’s last season at UVA. Got to be. They are very likely to go 0fer in the ACC and won’t have COVID to use as an excuse to bail. You’d think after taking most of last season off she would have a better system in place. Doesn’t seem they took advantage like Duke did.

I’ve been wondering lately how Dawn Staley feels about her alma mater’s program dipping so far. We thought Tennessee fell pretty low. Virginia said, “Hold my beer.” :(

I really hate it for the Cavaliers.

Great players don’t automatically translate to great coaches.

Dang! Auriemma is definitely going to have to work hard to earn his paycheck for the next few weeks. But what an opportunity for some of the other players!

I have a feeling Fudd will be back very soon. But hopefully not TOO soon for her own good. Like I’ve said before, if she fibbed to trainers to say she was pain free, it wouldn’t be the first time a highly competitive player did that, and I totally get it when I put myself in her shoes.

Anyway, this is just way too much horrible luck to happen to any team in such quick succession, even a bitter rival. Jeez. : /

Well he can pull on the big coach panties now and show us if he has the magic one more time. It can be done, ask KJH, but truthfully alot of stars have to line up right to overcome multiple major injuries. Of course boo hoo for him and his 49 other 5 stars begging for a chance. So Fudd wanted more minutes? Here you go.

Geno hasn't seemed to me to be having a good time for several seasons now. Just seems like a grumpy old man, almost pissed off to have to be there. I'm interested to see if he's up for the challenge. Premature to call the decline of the Geno Era?
