Non-Lady Vol Basketball News 2024-25

Poor girl had a super tough night. She was in tears in the second quarter when she picked up that third foul. I know that game was not what she was hoping for. Hope she has a great season.

She had the unfortunate distinction of being almost their only quality player so she got most of the defensive attention. Didn’t help she was trying to score against Tamari or Emily most of the time.

NCAA needs to be proactive and shut it down for 2-3 weeks just to get thru this post holiday spike. Add the games at end of season and move on. What would it hurt starting the conference tourneys 3 weeks later.

That would suit you Connecticut fans perfectly, wouldn’t it? It would mean three fewer weeks to have to play without Bueckers.

Saw that UConn postponed their game vs. DePaul due to COVID situation within their own program. Pity...I thought DePaul had a real shot at them.

The rest of the season will be a sh!tshow. I pity the players who lost out, particularly this year where we're at the point of just gross overreaction.

Ole Miss done cancelled with South Carolina as well. Entire team must have covid.

Doubt it. Betting they have one good player out. I’m so over the cancellations. The rest of the world is moving on. I know there are posters here who will vehemently disagree, but it’s time.

It’s endemic. The new variant is less virulent and more contagious (a good thing). It’s time to live your lives and enjoy them. Stop listening to cable news and that hack Fauci (look up his role with AZT in the 80s/90s. He’s a verified murderer.)

I’m a healthcare provider and have been in the midst of it for two years. Have yet to see what there is to be so frightened about, even when I was sick with COVID myself. The worst part of it was the fear and anxiety thinking you’re going to get incredibly sick and die when you know you’ve got it. In reality it’s a non issue for 99.8% of people. Those getting severely ill are already severely ill from other diseases. Particularly poorly cared for Type II DM.

The narrative needs to be “care for your body so it will care for you!”

SEC changing the rules will make the SEC something like last season. I doubt some games will ever be made up as Ole Miss is going to be a week behind. Should've made unvaccinated players sit out this year and go ahead and play with what players you have that are vaccinated and able to play. If everyone cancels over one player or two during this season doubt any team gets in 16 league games.

Is the new policy that they try to make up games but if they can't the game doesn't count in the standings at all? So if that's the case, who's ever going to reschedule against So Carolina? Take the no-decision rather than the loss for sure. Hell, ole Dawn will be lucky if she gets any SEC games in.

What if say we have to play SC and lose, then tie in the standings and tourney seedings w someone who got out of playing them? Can already hear the hew and cry.

Who checks when teams say they have a covid problem? Do testing results get turned into SEC? Who checks on whether games actually can be rescheduled? Hopefully the league has an office or committee or something controlling all this. And pity those poor fools, what a mess! I know its a tough situation and no solution is going to be perfect but this looks like an invitation for a cluster.

Are any of the folks who want posters banned for saying Tess Darby is a low percentage shooter and Jordan Horston makes alot of turnovers listening?

If you're calling ME out, well, here I am. If you want to have this out, then by all means:

I've called for one poster's banning. He happens to be these-days fixated on Darby's failure to be Michael Jordan, but I've never advocated he be banned for that. I've advocated he be banned because he is a cancer on these threads, using them to publish his disturbing level of disrespect of any and all things Kellie Harper, and his obsession with assaulting her coaching skills mercilessly. Enough is enough. These boards shouldn't be used by someone who wants to carry out an obsessive campaign of disrepect of someone associated with UT athletics. That's my opinion, and I'll stick to it.

And, just to be clear, exactly what is it I'm supposed to be listening to?

And, just to be clear, exactly what is it I'm supposed to be listening to?

Guessing it's the inference that there is some perceived misinformation (Disclaimer: I have no comment on the validity/invalidity of it since I've already checked out) being shared here that would warrant a poster banning more than criticism of shooting stats and turnovers.

Connecticut out of all programs is benefiting the most from this. They are getting time to adjust without their leading scorer and MVP. The Lady Vols just found a way to get it done and continue to do so with the personnel that they have and improve along the way. As of today, we have the number one field goal defense % and number one rebound margin in the country allowing 30.8% per game and outrebounding opponents by 17.8 per game. Defending the ball and Controlling the ball will lead to a lot of wins and as we know, you only have to win by 1 point to get a "W"

My triple vaccinated Dr. felt the same way until he ended up in the ICU with Covid and then he changed his tune. At first, he said almost impossible to catch and if you catch it 99.9% of people were going to be perfectly fine blah blah blah. Seen him two weeks ago and he asked me if I was completely vaccinated and keeping my distance from people. He had just Lost a 15 y/o patient and 30 y/o patience to covid within 7 days. So although most of the world is trying to move forward, we are a ways away from actually putting this thing behind us, especially in the U.S.

I can explain it for you but I can’t understand it for you. The key piece of your post was TRIPLE VACCINATED and still in the ICU.

Now let us wait for this post to be removed.
