All I've heard from SC and some LV fans is how great SC is and how they have no competition. Well, I watched them fold again but this time they didn't have the refs to bail them out like against Stanford. That equals the first loss of the season for them. My questions are:
1. Will SC and its coaches learn from the loss? As far as coaching x's and o's, I don't think Dawn is any better than Holly. Dawn has much better players than anyone else but they don't seem to be adequately focused otherwise, with their credentials, they would win every game by 40 points.
2. When will its five star players realize they are part of an average coached team at best and look to move to a school where they will be developed? Same argument used against Holly but this time returned to sender.
3. How long will SC take to realize everyone is going to scheme Boston and they will need to shoot the ball to win? Same offense used by Holly and SC's players are executing it (and oppositions are defending it) the same way.
It is either her or Essence Cody. They are both heavy leans right now to Georgia. Diana was ranked at 11th overall in the Terrific 25 for the 2023 class. She seems to have found her stride again going up against some of the top competition in Georgia. She lit up both Flaujae and Kara Dunn in recent games. I posted about wanting more FBC kids on UGAโs roster a few days ago and he responded with โvery soonโ.Thinking this may be Dianna Collins point guard.

I saw some film of her looks like a great pickup for Ga. Think she is underrated by hoopgurlz seeing that a lot lately. Cody is an awesome talent. It is either her or Essence Cody. What I hope any players considering Tennessee would understand is that Coach Harper is very good at finding the strength and weaknesses in your game and making you a better player. I have been totally impressed with the development of every player on the roster and especially how well she how integrated the freshmen into productive roles this season. Any player committing to Tennessee will get the ultimate in guidance both on and off the court. It is a win win situation to play at Tennessee have to believe there are some players out there that want that opportunity to be the best they can be.
Poultrygeist checked in so he/she is okayMaybe we should genuinely check in on our friends... lol
@Rooster1 @SCspur are you guys ok (i feel like i left out another poster)?
I remember someone saying they are going undefeated and nobody was gonna touch them I kept saying don't doubt the power of the SEC this just proves how tough our conference can be.
It makes me laugh that posters were stating because TN was a top team it just proves how bad everyone else was
True the culture at Tennessee has never been better. Everything is being done right. I hope recruits find Tennessee where they want to be. There is no place that can offer more than Tennessee women's basketball right now.I agree! I also feel that her assistant coaches have taken the development of the players up a level which is also a credit to Kellie for being able to get them on campus as well...
Look at Brooklynn many on this board had written her off because of a lack of ranking and now she helps wear down other point guards on a nightly basis. Coach kellie said Coach Sam has been on her day 1 since she walked through the door and she responded. We have seen clips of coach joy digging in the post players butts! If you are a player who truly wants to work and get better TN is again the place for you. You will have a chance and Kellie has proven that so the ones who aren't scared to work will come and that will only make us better as well
Coach Mo is the โheโ I was referring to. He coaches and started FBC. Georgia has had a tough time with landing kids from FBC, and it looks like things are about to change with that!
Funniest part is that a #1 ranking wouldn't change our resident critics' posts one bit. We could go undefeated all year and we'd still be hearing the same gripes about recruiting, free throws, blue hairs, Kellie at NC State, what have you.
While the Missouri win was huge, another game under the radar that will help our seeding at NCAA time is that Vs Tech best #15 Duke by 22 points. They may be on their way to being the third rated team we beat without Burrell.
Missouri is hard to guard because everyone of four players is an excellent three point shooter. SC seemed to respect this so much that they pulled the defense out some and got beat on some back doors late in the game. No doubt that SC is the far better team and like I've told a lot of posters from other schools the best team doesn't always win. Especially when two of your best players go 6 for 31 from the field. When we played Stanford we missed 13 free throws and it was a four point game late so if we make 8 or 9 of those which we should then were probably holding a lead of about five or six points and don't have to foul late that extended their final margin. I think parity is a lot stronger in WCBB this season than it has ever been. Having top quality players you hope they can be consistent performers every game. Again this season whomever gets that from their team in those final games will win the National Championship. I think Stanford, SC, UConn with the return of Beuckers and Fudd are still the top three that could claim the title. Still you could have a team like Louisville, NC State and others have that game where all their players have an elite game and the title could be theirs.
