Non-Lady Vol Basketball News 2024-25

Mizzou’s Blackwell is one of the best players in the SEC. I absolutely LOVE her competitiveness. I also kinda wish she were moving on to the W after this season, too. lol
Her dad was a great athlete at Mizzou. I remember seeing her play in middle school and I knew she would be special.

She’s one of my favorite non-Lady Vols and have wished to myself many times that she had come to Tennessee. But reading about her dad, now I can see that we may never have had a chance to get her. She sure is doing her family legacy proud.

Unranked Missouri could beat at least half of Top 25.

I am really, really glad that we play them at home. They are so hard to play on their own turf. Another really hostile gym where you aren’t going to get any calls.

At home I think we beat them fairly easily because they will not just be able to foul as defense. If on the road I would be biting my nails about that one already. They can really shoot the 3 this season but aren’t that athletic.

Another player I like a lot from Mizzou is Hanson. Just to see that soft-looking little red-haired girlie, you’d think she’s probably not going to be all that tough. But OMG, she’s relentlessly confident out there! Pingeton has put the ball in her hands at the end of games this year and she usually comes through for them. What a tough cookie!

Anyone else feeling as bad as I am that Gary Blair’s last season is probably going to among his worst, maybe even THE worst? Yikes.

Heartbreaking. I really think there could be more at play there. I feel so bad they are having such a tough time. In hindsight one does wish he went out “on top” after last season. So much respect for Coach Blair.

Think Shae is going to be running dummy plays for her old buddy Geno tomorrow night? Kind of an interesting scenario with Dawn playing Ralph and Geno back to back.

Wouldn’t be surprised to see Vandy run some stuff to give Geno a look at how they guard it. Maybe not, but would be right up their street.

Shea has been running a basic variation of UConn's plays all season. Trust me Vandy doesn't have the capability to run UConn's full set. And to think that Shea Ralph would sacrifice her team to run dummies for anyone else indicates you have no knowledge of the lady.

She definitely would lol

I know where she used to work and where she played. That’s all I need to know about her character.

She’s getting her butt handed to her in the SEC. She had better get used to it because I don’t see that changing. She’s a total beta. Uses all her timeouts in panic moments and whines in every press conference about how they should have won.

So what’s the latest on the fightin’ Argonauts!?!
No updates this week☹️
Well helllloooooo. Thanks for asking! Been a busy week on the work front and I’m just catching up on my wbb boards.

Two more wins this week for the Lady Argos, extending their win streak to 11 and taking them to 20-3 on the season. On Thursday night, they took down the Skylights by 12 on their home floor in Havre. Then, on Saturday, the Argos made their way to Dillon to take on Montana Western (#25) and left with a 9 point win. The win against Western was their fifth against a top 25 team this season.

This week, they’ll be at home in Great Falls on Thursday against Montana Tech and in Helena on Saturday for the rematch with Carroll.

If I remember, I’ll post a game link on Thursday.

I have seen all her press conferences and your perception is skewed. Did you expect them to win in the SEC this year? Hardly. I wonder what your tone will be in 3 or 4 years. Enjoy beating on Vandy now because it may not always be that way.

Unfortunately, we play them right after the UCONN game. They came back from a huge deficit at LSU to send it to overtime, much less beating the gamecocks in OT. Missouri is so scrappy so we will have to play the full 40 minutes. No UCONN hangover will be necessary to win.
