I think it's less about "having to come to play every night" and more about having your players available. This is the Big East after all. ONO played in the UConn's rout of Creighton; she did not play last night. If she had, then it would have likely been a routine win for UConn in spite of coming on the heels of the win vs. Tennessee.

But anytime they have been having an issue and had a good opponent coming up they magically had a postponement in their favor.

Don’t hold your breath for the DePaul game to happen this week….

Postponements are not in their favor. They need 25 games to make the tournament.

I agree that it was a good thing Butler was canceled. The team's flight from Creighton was diverted from Hartford to Syracuse where they had to get busses for the trip to Hartford. A long and exhausting trip. They arrived in Hartford after 8 the next day. Also they had not practiced since February 1 and needed to recoup and have a good practice. It was highly beneficial to UConn.

I’ll continue to theorize. Not many flights were cancelled and they had less that 7” total accumulation in 3 days. If they had really wanted to go they could have without a doubt.

However, Butler was the team that canceled not UConn. Had they flown the game would have been played. This is for sure the strangest year of basketball ever.

Well, ya think if that's the conspiracy, it would have happened BEFORE Butler got to the airport and were sitting on a plane. The things you Vfans come up with is special..

If PB comes back for the tourney, what kind of BB shape will she be in? Will she be rusty or tentative? And what would the chemistry be like with three supreme shooters all looking for their shot? It’s far from automatic everything clicks as soon as she returns. Who starts? Does CD go back to the bench? Does Fudd take a lesser role? What about CW? I mean GA has his work cut out figuring all this out even though he would be the first to say he wants PB back for the tourney as any sane person would want. But it’s complicated, has to be done right for everything to work on both ends with all the questions. I think next season they lead the country in scoring but for this year I guess we wait and see what PB looks like if she returns. My gosh what a great problem to have I suppose.

Fudd came back in great game shape, so it's not out of the realm of reality that Paige will be game ready by the time the tournament rolls around. If she does come back and she's fully healthy, they will totally unbalance whatever region they're placed in.

Not trying to start a conspiracy theory at all. If you cancel a game due to Covid do you have to send test results to NCAA or conference? Cheating like this would require a lot of coordination so I am not accusing.

Well, Fudd sat the bench for 8 weeks and she did just fine, Ducharme sat for 5 weeks and became a leading scorer. Paige will no doubt come back ready.
