I don't lurk, just read. Just making a comment and asking a question. Nothing devious here, why so touchy? Plenty of LV fans on the Boneyard and they are welcome.Do you people lurk on this website just waiting for a chance to respond to any post you don't like. I know the SC posters do guess UConn is lurking in the shadows as well.
Yes it just seems to obvious here when someone posts something that someone doesn't like about a player on their team they want immediate definitive explanation of why it was said. Not just UConn others fans of other teams do it as well. I know there are plenty of things said about Tennessee and their players. I just don't have time to seek out definitive answers. Hopefully if the posters wants to give you an answer you will get what you need.I don't lurk, just read. Just making a comment and asking a question. Nothing devious here, why so touchy? I have cross filed it under S for sarcastic P for petty.
But, I am legitimately curious why people dislike her.

People here dislike her because she is really, really good and she plays for UConn. Sorta' like the same reason UConn fans disliked Parker. She was really, really good and she played for Tennessee. If Bueckers played for Tennessee this board would be overwhelmed with people praising her.

Not for non-UConn fans, but they have a sub-board for "General Women's Basketball" to talk about the other teams besides UConn. It's more like it's on separate board as opposed to a singular thread.Does Boneyard have a thread just for nonUconn fans? Really asking. No snark.
I am, first and foremost, a women’s basketball fan. Go up and search my posts and you’ll see how little I talk about UConn and that I never troll your LV posts. The final time Geno and Dawn met, I was a freshman in college on the other side of the country and had no interest in women’s basketball. I don’t feel the rivalry the same way you older fans do.What I don't understand, Argonaut, is why a CT fan like you would actually keep insisting on hearing the specifics about why some folks aren't big fans of hers.
I mean, if you reaaaaaallllly want me to go into it, on a public message board for all to see, I could easily fulfill your morbid curiosity. I'm pretty good with the wordy words, and when you're finished reading it you'll know what you need to know, but you might feel really awful for having asked in the first place.
Whaddaya think?
I’ll drop it and log out for a while. Y’all can continue hating her for the sake of hating her, but the eyes she brings to women’s basketball (from those who like her and those who don’t) are a necessary piece in growing the game.
Hate to see you check out Argo. I enjoy hearing about your team in the great American West! We forget that there is exciting basketball and loyal fans at all levels of the game.I am, first and foremost, a women’s basketball fan. I want to know because I genuinely don’t understand the dislike (beyond the fact that she plays for UConn).
I agree with people saying that she should be a more polished speaker (which I’ve said many times about Breanna Stewart, too). I disagree with people saying that she’s too emotional on the court, mostly because we, as a society, need to do better about normalizing strong emotions. I also agree that she has gotten a lot of screen time, but the fact that the previous year’s NPOY is missing such a significant amount of time is a storyline. It just hasn’t happened before. If, God forbid, Boston gets hurt at the beginning of next season, she’ll get the same treatment. I sort of agree that she spends too much time appealing to refs, but I’d say that about 99.9% of players. Won’t change the call…
So, I really was hoping there would be rational points I hadn’t considered. I acknowledge that I have blind spots when it comes to the program, as all fans do with teams they like, and was hoping to understand from your POV.
