Well Tennessee roster is pretty dang diverse.. players from different races, coaching staff from different races.
I think a simple minded person would only take notice of those whispers as being credible.
Again, the recruiting at Tennessee is complex. It’s a strategy. They aren’t winning every battle.
They are winning some but at a lesser rate than some on here deem acceptable. That’s okay if that kind of stuff matters to you but in reality Tennessee is in the position they want to be in on the recruiting trail.
I"m going to partly blame the officiating. They allow entirely too much contact in this league and in part I think hampers offensive development during the season.
I wouldn't have been surprised if Ole Miss and Arkansas lost but those scores are stunning.
Big difference in posting about basketball and posting personal attacks on the character of our program.
The lies about racism are the most hurtful. Pat championed black women.
As I said, no Pat, no dawn.
I agree with that, they aren’t equal but when you know you’re dealing with a cobra.. don’t play with it. I’ve conversed with some SC fans and they don’t back down until they know that you won’t and that’s for any extreme with any fanbase. Deloris/B Terrell/Chris Williamson in particular seem to be hell bent on our program going to the crapper. It almost seems like if your coach ain’t black, your entire squad and school is racist. Is there racism out there? Yes. Are there some programs I would side eye due to their coach and even the continual makeup of their team? Yes. Is one of those programs Tennessee? No. Could the admin have issues? Yes. That isn’t our coach or our staff. And putting this out there on social media like that is why it’s important that we have a strong social media presence as a program because it definitely has been seen and will continue to be seen by recruits and families and other coaches and be used against us on the trail.
And I’m sure y’all know from some of my posts… I’m Blickity black black and mean that at all times.
No, not only a simple minded person but young people and worried parents about sending their 17/18 year old off to college to be hours away
That depends on which side they prefer to believe IMO. Tennessee last recruiting class was pretty diverse and their players/parents have said nothing but positive things on social media platforms about the program.
Also, very intelligent Jasmine Powell articulated it very well about what drew her to Tennessee. If there was truth to that label of Tennessee being racist, she had multiple Power 5 options to choose from but she affirmed a strong desire to come to Rocky Top.
I did misspeak previously it doesn’t make them simple mind. However, if they believe that stuff they perhaps they never really gave Tennessee a real chance. I’m from Mississippi and I can detect signs of racism. The last places that can call the kettle black so to speak is South Carolina, Kentucky, or Ole Miss.. just saying.
I’m trying to say this without having my rose colored glasses on…what are some of the things Lady Vol fans are saying that are remotely close to the things SC fans are saying. I’m not trying to be flippant, I’m genuinely curious.
As a mother of a Black boy, it certainly matters to me. My son CAN’T go to Mizzou for that very reason. There’s not enough money in the world for me to send my son to school there. It matters.Well Tennessee roster is pretty dang diverse.. players from different races, coaching staff from different races.

I am hoping Stiplin's game turns into something like Megan Gustafason from Iowa. She was the 80th ranked player in her class and turned into one of the most efficient and best scoring posts in the courntry.I’m hoping Puckett turns into an Ashley Joens from Iowa State. They seem to have very similar games and with time I believe Puckett can be just as effective.
Who are you referring to?Its an easier charge to stick when you have a former player with a national audience making clumsy statements about race and coaches at UT. Is she wrong? Probably not. Is it something worth talking about? Sure. But its clumsy in the sense that given you are a former player most people are going to connect your comment to the womens basketball program and thus in turn you are going to knee cap it and open it up to charges of racism, even if that isn't your intention.
The SEC had the top winning percentage through the season against all non conference opponents and were rated number one conference. In the tourney they haven't done well men or women. Why suddenly teams are having such difficulty probably has something to do with the day in day out physical play you have to endure in the SEC.Both Florida and Kentucky losing. Was the SEC that bad this season?
