Certainly some similarities like size but I feel like we are more athletic at every position than Oregon.
Still, a challenging game. I’m just glad we won’t have to play that little guard from Buffalo again! Good lord! Did she ever miss?!?

Really can't say anybody can beat anyone this season. Oregon beat UConn by like 10 points and today they couldn't get it done against Belmont. I hope we come to play would be a great season to get to the sweet sixteen this year.

Oregon beat UConn when they were without starters Williams and Bueckers and without Fudd. Those 3 players are currently UConn's top scorers.

Tennessee scored 80 points today w/out Horston. I’ll take that against any team we face. Next game is more about Tennessee regardless of the opponent. Will the LVs dominant the boards? Will they play tough defense? I liked the chances going against either team. The thing I noticed about the start of games is Tennessee has too many wasted offensive possessions. They could’ve really put the game away today in the 1st qtr.
To me, Darby should be coming off the bench if this offense is not going to run set plays to give her chances to spread the defense. If not the opposing team just constantly exploits her defensively no matter who she is guarding. That and trying to force the ball inside to Key usually results in those slow starts.

Parity is a nice word for mediocrity.

It can be, if all teams play at a medicre level.

If a bunch of teams play at a high level, then parity means that there are a lot of excellent teams.

Mediocrity is a relative term. Just ask the folks from Lake Wobegon.

The SEC had the top winning percentage through the season against all non conference opponents and were rated number one conference. In the tourney they haven't done well men or women. Why suddenly teams are having such difficulty probably has something to do with the day in day out physical play you have to endure in the SEC.

It seem liked as the season wore on, most teams that looked good started wearing down with so many hard fought games against good teams. I wonder it somehow took it's toll on the confidence of some teams.

Not probably, definitely. They league needs to consider that. The way games are officiated needs to change. The way the PAC-12 is officiated I like much better. The games are called more similarly across the board and are called tighter from the tip. In the SEC they tend to “let them play” to start then tighten it up in the second half.

Basketball is a contact sport but I would not say it is a FULL contact sport. Especially on the perimeter. Way too much bodying of the ball handler allowed this season. After they made such an emphasis of that for several seasons they seemed to totally go away from that. Hard for teams to adjust.

Arizona struggling mightily on the offensive end as they have much of the season. Without McDonald they have nobody who can create their own shot. Reese is competitive but she’s honestly not that athletic.

Yeaney ain’t it. She’s so athletic, but she just cannot finish. I see why she didn’t stick at Indiana. Terri’s players tend to finish really well, I’m sure that drove her nuts in practice.

Love that the UNLV players jerseys just say Lady Rebels without their names.

I’ll bet they lost the right to have them. That’s usually a motivated team. My sophomore yea for HS our team was not getting along and not playing together early on. Names came off the jerseys and something changed.

Nebraska is going to lose against Gonzaga. Colorado, Nebraska and UNC were criticized for having soft non conference schedules and so far at least 2 out of 3 of them are going home in the first round.

Nebraska also took a hit when they lost the player and coach to whatever that scandal was. She was a good shooter and helped their offensive spacing a lot.

Had a feeling they would lose today and had picked them to do so.
