Non-Lady Vol Basketball News 2024-25

1. Iowa - 14,382 (almost sold out)
2. Arizona - 9,573
3. South Carolina - 8,478
4. Louisville - 8,407
5. LSU - 7,890
6. Michigan - 6,471
7. Indiana - 6,389
8. Iowa State - 5,546
9. NC State - 5,483 (practically sellout - a very few single tickets remaining)
10. Tennessee - 5,448
11. UConn - 5,073
12. Maryland - 4,776
13. Oklahoma - 3,952
14. Baylor 3,855 (Thanks Volfan2012)
15.Texas - 3,822
16. Stanford - 3,610 (Defending national champions !?)

A couple of observations - The Big Ten did well, accounting for 3 of the top 7whereas the Big 12 did poorly (3 of the bottom 4). The biggest long time blue bloods UT, Uconn, and Stanford didn't do so well.

I would expect the Lady Vols to have better attendance on Monday. Saturday you had Men’s basketball, baseball, and softball all also playing. Plus the students should be back from spring break.

The LVs crowd was strong yesterday.. the visiting schools didn’t seem to have many fans in attendance from my observation!
The numbers are skewed by stating this as if there weren’t three visiting schools who are either traveling (increasing attendance #’s) or not to the hosting site which in this case is TBA! You folks need to think critically..

If the refs continue to call the game as they did in the first quarter Iowa could be in trouble. Clark is getting mugged, even when she doesn't have the ball.

I’m pulling for Creighton even if it bursts my bracket. Their players and cheerleaders are soaking up the hostile crowd and reveling in it. Guess the crowd doesn’t hurt their feelings.

Pathetic. The fans never really embraced and connected to this team like they did with the men's team, which had some GREAT crowds and went undefeated at home...

I can only imagine how Tamari Key will be officiated tomorrow night.. KJH might need to get a technical foul early tomorrow. Can’t let it go on for 4 qtrs in this game!

I either forgot or didn't realize that Creighton is in the BE and if they win there's going to BE chest thumping from UConn fans and P5 haters.

If Creighton wins this game the BE absolutely deserves to do some chest thumping! Even if they lose this game their conference has already impressed. Gotta give it to them.

I hope so to but I would be surprised if it was over 7000. There are some general trends that even when the LVs were #1 seeds and drawing between 12 to 15,000 a game during the regular season they would be draw significantly less for the first two rounds of the NCAA when they were at home (typically around 7500 plus/minus 1,000. The same is happening to S. Carolina now, and it happened to UCONN and Stanford too (even pre-COVID). I think in part you don't value hosting as much when you always do it, as well as those 1 vs 16 seeds or 2 vs. 15 seeded games are typically mismatches though no longer always the case. On top of this, I think there is a big part of the old Lady Vol base that will only become mobilized again if we become big winners with all star players. It was looking like this was about to happen this year until the series of injuries. In any case, I am sure we will have a vocal crowd of the LV die-hards no matter how big the attendance is.
