Alexander let Shea know at the beginning of the season she was going into the portal. For some people there is more to life than basketball. The lady is brilliant and has a plan for her future. Leaving at the end of the season was her plan. She was given the option to play in the WNIT but she is working her plan. I am curious to see what her future holds.I notice Vandy is playing in the NIT but Alexander is not with the team. They have played well in their first two games.
Don’t think it reflects well on their team chemistry that she wouldn’t even finish the post season with them. I maintain that situation will not workout long term. 3-5 years. I don’t think Shea will be able to keep players around or recruit at a high enough level to compete night in and night out in the SEC.
It’s very easy to be wrong around here…please.I believe she entered the portal right after the season ended, not thinking they would be playing in the post season. As for Shea, why would you say that? How about giving her a couple of years before you send her out to pasture. And by the way, there are posters here who said the same about Kellie. They were wrong then, and wrong now.

SMH@Lucy will appreciate this dialogue..
I realize that, but Shea is a good coach and a good person. Sometimes hate can cloud a persons judgement. There is good and bad anywhere you look, but judging people based on a personal opinion of someone else is an example of why our country is f____d up.I call them as I see them. Head coaching is a tough business. You’ve either got it or you don’t.
I supported Kellie as soon as she was hired. She wasn’t my first pick at the time but I’m so happy with the decision.
EDIT: also, I really dislike UConn/Geno and anything associated with them.
