I like when they dunk. It's an exciting and emphatic play that fires up the crowd. But having the girls in the dunk contest is a joke. They will get top scores just for making the most basic of dunks. Of the three that "won" (Parker, Belibi, Watkins), only Belibi went beyond simple dunks...and even those paled in comparison to the boys. They are dunks, but 99% of them are really lame. I can't understand why there is so much hoopla when a woman dunks. One of hte reasons that I watch WCBB is because the game is played below the rim without a lot of the "looka' me" showboating that there is in the men's game.
It's still only two friggen points! Maybe someday the NCAA will make a dunk worth 2.5 points to add more "excitement". When that happens I'll switch to watching badminton.
Shady shady shady I love that Coach Kellie isn’t messy like these other coaches in pressers or on Twitter
Man she really has a hard time filtering what she says. This isn’t going to help her recruiting. That’s for damn sure. Calling out players leaving her program like that scream “Top Down Problems.”
Poor leadership doesn’t exactly encourage maximum participation. I think she’s going to end up getting herself fire with her big mouth.

Not a good offensive team no star player good young talent coming in let`s see how it shakes out. What i think helps her is that she can recruit ? But i agree with you 100% she could have not posting anything just move on. Now looking at the players that are in the portal from her team all of them need to work on there game. I could be wrong i don`t see any of them starting at a top program ?.
I’m actually thinking UConn and SC.So what does everyone think about the womens final. Will it be stanford vs south carolina in the final or could UConn and/or Louisville end up in the final?
I think Koi Love would/could. The others needed development. To me that comes from the coach.
You want them in the gym? Get your A** in there with them in the summer and make sure it’s happening.
Those players agreed to play for her thinking she was going to make them better. Instead she turned them out to pasture, sat them on the bench and then trashed them on Twitter when they got tired of her crap and left.
Not exactly professional IMO.
Harper has taken on some projects and has taken them to the next level. Arizona wouldn’t look twice at a player like Darby and she earned the right all season to start. The few times we went away from it, it was clear we were better with her in the lineup. Funny how a coach can help a player to the next level…Adia might try it. They aren’t all going to come pre-packaged lien Aari McDonald.
Aka, the grass ain't always greener
The rule last year was 8 hours per week and no more than two hours per day. What Tennessee needs is an instructor that can teach players to shoot free throws and a few perimeter shots. I still am upset we missed 14 free throws in that Stanford game would've been a big win for us. A lot of games are decided by free thow shooting our players have to get a lot better.I do wonder what the NCAA rules are in regard to coaches working with individual players in the offseason. How many hours per week can a coach work with a player? Is there a specific window of time when it's allowed? Or are they even allowed to work with them one-on-one before October or November? I honestly don't know.
But I'm with you on coaches getting their tails into the gym with players who need extra attention. Hey, come to think of it, I just now had a memory of some player in the past saying Dean was always willing to go to the gym with her. Maybe he was just shagging missed shots for her, I don't know. Also not sure if that was IN-season or off, but obviously coaches can give individual help outside of regular practice hours.

I agree with you about Geno and Connecticut transfers in particular, but there is something to the idea of alot of portal entrants not necessarily ending up in a better spot. It's sometimes a gambleEh just sounds like more posturing from Geno. Trying to scare his own players out of transferring.
Every single one of those players will likely find a new home and for most it will be a better fit. Geno doesn’t like anything he can’t control and the portal creates chaos for coaches.

That is why you need to transfer to coaches that will tell you the truth and also do your homework on where players are transferring from and where they are getting to play. There are a lot of coaches out there lying to players. Not every player that gets in the portal is going to be successful, but at least they can make an educated decision. Coaches like Geno, Dawn and others don't like the portal because they know it is going to level the playing field in a few years and there are going to be probably double digit teams that can win the NCAA title.I agree with you about Geno and Connecticut transfers in particular, but there is something to the idea of alot of portal entrants not necessarily ending up in a better spot.
